I would love a healthy Delmas, but he's never healthy.

Saw a tiny bit of the Alex Smith press conference today. Have to admit, it was WEIRD seeing him hold up a Chiefs jersey. Kind of like seeing an ex get together with someone else. I'm on the younger side, so he's the first QB I remember following closely from college to the 49ers.

...That got a little more emotional that I wanted it to.

I'm actually excited for Alex Smith, he's a good guy and I will watch him every week. I hope he just goes in there and lights it up, he certainly has the weapons to do so.

I'm hoping to see him start Camp Alex very soon in KC as they will all have to learn the new playbook.

Best response to the injury prone statements...

"I don't like being labeled a lions fan, but I am one."

@Eric_Branch: Per his agent, Charles Woodson is still visiting with the #49ers.

Wow late night.

That is pretty late. At this point I'd be pretty surprised if he didn't sign

Hmmm, a "prove it" contract? Little surprised...

I'm not, he is highly overrated and needs to prove his worth before getting a big deal. Denver is a great opportunity for him.

A source with knowledge of the NFL market tells Profootballtalk.com that "multiple teams" plan to wait for the weekend to push for top-shelf free-agent cornerback Sean Smith.
The teams want to go "bargain shopping" after a slow initial 30 hours on the cornerback market. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, a top-five free-agent corner, settled for a one-year deal. Chris Houston got an affordable $5 million annually and was a top-seven or eight cornerback. It's fair to wonder if NFL teams are engaging in collusion, avoiding Smith, Aqib Talib, Brent Grimes, and to a lesser extent Keenan Lewis in order to keep their price tags down.

Tampa not willing to give up the 13th overall pick is the reason Revis hasn't been traded there yet.

Ahh I see, so they want a first in return...a high first it seems.

Moving Delmas to FS has me interested. Hopefully Woodson doesn't prevent this for us.
