Did you err ?
Yeah, I thought it was a givenhe has always been interested in playing for the cowboys.
However, with Saleh and Sherman, I'm sure they will be leading the charge to bring him in

Report: Seahawks impending FA Earl Thomas moves family to Austin
What's big money these days ? And is that what he will be chasing? Not surprising since his time in Seattle is over. Who knows what happens next. He was looking for a big long term deal. He is going to be really disappointed if he still expects to get that with his age and recent injury history

Isn't he from there ?
If Jerry lowballs him, I could see a fat signing bonus luring him elsewhere
Most of the big dollar deals are top heavy. He was looking for a multi year deal with Seattle. This is from their reporting.
Thomas, as his statement made clear, wants his long-term future secured, which likely means he wants a multi-year deal, and almost certainly at more than the $10 million per season of his current contract. Thomas hasn’t said it himself, but it’s thought he’d likely want to top the $13 million per season of the highest-paid safety in the NFL, Kansas City’s Eric Berry. At the least, he probably wants to at least top the $12 million average salary Seattle gave Kam Chancellor — who plays strong safety — in an extension last summer.
NE signs for the most part young FAs 5 years and younger. They also give 3, 4, 5 picks for other teams 1st round picks! Supposedly to slow, cant runblock, to expensive? Led the charge against the Rams. 49ers trade Trent Brown to Patriots for a 3rd-round pick

If I'm basing signing a safety off age I would go for a guy like Collins from the Giants he's young and a good player.
for me, the first factor is injuries, which will prevent him from playing like his prime years.

I sure hope the Niners are smart enough to re-sign Robbie Gould.
I heard a nasty rumor that his family never left Chicago and they want to stay there. Unfortunately after last year's fiasco in the playoffs the Bears realize they need a reliable kicker and will probably go after him. They should but he also has to want to resign.

predicted a while ago, we'd sign a FA ER before the draft. With the draft class being so strong, this is the level of FA we'd be looking at. Better situation than Attaochu, but same idea.
