Yes the odds are very low, but this applies to every UDFA and tryout player. This applies somewhat to 7th round draft picks too.
So why do they sign UDFA's and tryout players?

To sign a guy to three years who won't be on the team this year seems odd to me.There are reasons ALL teams sign UDFA's and tryout players. They aren't "odd" reasons.
