It sounds like Ford is a done deal.

For 2nd rounder in 2020

5 years at $87.5M, but the details will likely come out as more team friendly. Not as team friendly as Alexander, but still.

Yeah, at this cost they must surely have a starting spot in mind? I would have to guess SAM too.

clearly they like what they have on offense and probably CB.

For those who say we have a lot of cap space AND should use it, here you go with Ford.

that is the nature of free agency, you always overpay.

If Nick is projected to fit our LEO to a 'T', i'd still draft him.

I think Ford could play the SAM and Bosa the Leo. They do flip assignments to some extent.

Both sides need help, but we all know the D needed it much more.

Our offense is fine even as is, except for the Red Zone.

Yes you do but he's been productive on the highest level with poor play around him minus Houston and Berry. I'm guessing most of the guaranteed money is early in the contract so if he falls off or doesn't own out they can cut him without future cap issues.

$17.5M/yr for a position that is the 2nd most important in football? That's a deal....and Ford is legit.

Based off of how they have spent so far and may spend on the future of free agency a interior offensive linemen earlier in the draft is looking.more likely.

I knew they'd sign a FA ER prior to the draft, but didn't think they'd go after a 'name' player like Ford.

More so after Kyler Murray passed the height test.

Anyway, Ford will certainly help this D.

I think they will add a safety and be done with any major spending in Free agency.

Add Bosa as well and create a nightmare for opposing offenses.

Yea saw that this AM...bummer, but at least we're not overpaying for an "aging" FS. He would have been a great addition...but if we could get Baby Bosa in the draft our front 7 is going to give opposing coaches and offences nightmares.

Coleman. Breida are quick and speedy, Mckinnon is smaller and better hands. With Juice and Morris and Mostart !?! Solid

Yeah now that I think of it...Shanahan's got a stable of backs that he can utilize on a week-to-week basis depending on opponents/health. Solid signing.

Two years ten million isn't bad and Coleman is a solid player.
