As much as misguided politicians (and I use that term loosely with Tuberville) are a concern, the bigger concern is how many people believe what Tommy is peddling here?!? I think a good percentage of the 71+ million people that voted for Trump likely share similar beliefs.

Totally they do. These are the same people that think Hitler has socialist points of view and only because the word Socialist was in the title of the party he was the leader of.

The majority of them couldn’t define capitalism/socialism/communism/Marxism if you asked them. They just parrot the same garbage they read on Facebook or see on Fox News.

So WW2 was fought over political ideology?
Whelp...’technically’ you could possibly try and frame a narrative this way...if ya want to eliminate basically all the pertinent facts at the time... smdh

This is a wormhole I don’t feel like entering today.

But among the causes of WWII in Europe and the reasons for the US getting involved in it, no, not really but eradicating a certain political ideology was certainly a goal by the end of it.

You could also take issue if he had said “my daddy fought in WWII to save the Jews” since that wasn’t exactly a goal of anybody at most points during the war, either.

Lol! Don’t blame ya. There is history as it’s written...by the winners and then there is a uglier side that no one like to look at. But the truth is , some wars are better than others. Think most agree WW2 was one of those kinds of wars...if you can claim war is good at all...

Necessary is how I'd describe it. Can't think of many others since that fall under that category - Afghanistan was probably a worthy cause but it was completely botched. Can make an argument for Korea, even with Macarthur's insane ass wanting to nuke the place out of existence lol

So do you want to pencil down 9AM Monday for that wormhole? j/k

And no, sadly almost no one cared about saving the Jews. There's a really interesting/sad exhibit about the MS St. Louis at Maritime Museum in Halifax.

Are we in some sort of Bizzaro "science" warp?

Hey Mitch, the death of close to a quarter million Americans also occurred under a Republican administration. And that same administration had nothing to do with the development of a vaccine.

And just about everything to do with "baselessly undermining science", ya fucking clown. No go chug some bleach, stick a lightbulb up your arse and return to your crypt you bloated gas bag.

This is the same moron who stated the three branches of government are the executive, congress and Senate. :L

Seriously they knew if he didn’t say anything during the election he would win because it is Alabama. But the more I think about it, he could have said any inane items and he would have won in Alabama. At least it is coming to light now so others know how to deal with this idiot.
You have way too high of expectations of Alabama and the general US populace

Not at all that was sarcasm. :suds: We are talking about the state that almost elected a child molester and the Country that elected a Racist and then gave him 72,000,000 more votes after he let over 225,000 Americans die.
