I really hope he does well and sticks it to Jack and Lloyd. Looks like he added some weight back, but not in a bad way.
Agree into reason for him to be seeing less time then Lomo the rest of the way

an outfield of Lomo, Smith and Cruz may be the worst defensive OF of all timeThat's the problem they have with Montero is since they will not even attempt him at catcher and lack of moves at the deadline. Had they traded Jackson, Smith could've slid to CF and Lomo in LF and Montero would have his put up or shut up moment but as it is now with his lack of versatility it's going to be hard other than a platoon unless Lloyd is going to be committed to giving Lomo the back seat.
They already have a horrible defensive outfield so it's not much worse and just one option since Jack hasn't really given the team too many defensive options.. Ya, it's not ideal but it would be one way to give Montero real playing time and not completely benching LoMo. It's not really giving Montero a fair shake if he is starting but come the 7th inning Lloyd pulls him so LoMo can replace him defensively. I just hate the thought of calling him up just to platoon him.
You would not have to completely bench Lomo. Montero could play DH in American League games and alternate with Lomo at first base in interleague play
Then Trumbo in AL games? He's like their hottest hitter.
NW, ever since you brought up the balls getting past Zunino last week, i've been paying attention to how many he allows by him vs Wild pitches... He had 4 balls get by him tonight... He's had one get by him in every game i've watched since you brought it up... It's definitely an issue... He's supposed to be a defensive asset but he's literally lost 2 games for us the past week due to past balls...
I watched Suzuki for the Twins tonight keep everything in front of him - no matter where they were...
