I wouldn't mind Lamp. At least the priority is the line...either line. I prefer defense but I want the better player at a need position.

As much as I know you will disagree... we kinda NEED a RB dude. I like Kelly, But he is a change of pace back, just like Jones and Thompson.

Of course I disagree because I don't value the position. I don't think 3 down backs are needed in the game of football. Seriously, who is the last 3 down back to win a SB? How many over the last decade?

keeping up with the previous threads -- ILB Foster and Reddick have been drafted, C.Davis, Ross, Peppers, Obi, Cook & McCaffery are available. Mahommes, and other top DB/OLB prospects are there too.
Is Lamp likely the BPA for "this" team @17?
Why draft a Guard in the first round?

Christian McCaffery would be a great pick.

Beast Mode comes to mind.

And you cant really believe that a RB that teams actually have to account for in every situation hasnt helped teams like Dallas. Can you imagine what our offense would be like if teams had to actually CHOOSE between dropping 7-8 in coverage or defending the run on every down?? IM all for improving the defense, I just happen to think its going to take 2-3 more years and a DC better than what we have had the past seven years. And Munusky as a boobie prize following the last clusterfuck does not excite me.

From your mouth to Maddens Ears. LOL

I think CM is going to be a great change of pace scat back, but if Im giving p the 17 pick and it aint Cook, Mixon or Fournette.... wrenches will fly.

You are on the clock Redskins. In this scenario who would you pick

Anybody recall how the play of Cousins and our O-line working together kept sacks down? Well I'm convinced that a premier Running back will do the same in the run and passing game as far as production goes. Lamp would be a really good pick there, however, he won't give us the bang with the current guys at RB that Fournette or Mixon would with our current O-line. I'm flipping a coin, heads Mixon, tails Fournette. ( I get a do-over if it comes up tails):pound:

Thought you may go to Lynch. I just never thought much of him as a 3rd down guy. My point is and always will be...RB is an overrated position with a short shelf life. Why take a RB early when you can get a good one in FA?

When is the last time we got a GOOD RB in free agency? OK, maybe. Some one who can stand in the position when the QB says hike, sure. I want a guy that teams actually have to account for, and that guy is either going to be expensive in free agency (if he is even available), or is going to cost more than a half assed third rounder in the draft.

Define later. I just think it is pointless to draft another Rob Kelly/Matt Jones. Yes we need defense, but if there is a true difference maker at RB im not against us going in that direction.

I will say this, a bonafide RB and upgrade at LG, this offense could be explosive this year. I know, we need defense and more defense but Cook at 17 or DL at 17 then Mixon in round 2 would be nice.
