So how does TSN fill the time during the winter months? Vic Rauter will be piling up the frequent flyer miles from Conception Bay to Nanaimo calling curling bonspiels.

They will probably try to get a more substantial NBA coverage deal. But they will probably just allow ESPN to saturate their programming even further.
What I wonder is what James Duthie will do. He has worked hard to make the NHL on TSN fairly entertaining. Wonder if he considers jumping ship
I'd like to see Ray Ferraro replace Glenn Healy on HNIC on those broadcasts and have Bob McKenzie replace PJ Stock on HNIC
I'm curious if CBC/Sportsnet will have an expansion draft type deal where CBC takes one guy, Sportsnet takes another, kinda like an agreement?
They probably won't all leave. I mean they can still cover hockey with shows, but just not show any games.
Just had a very intersting discussion about this with a friend of mine. He thinks in a round a bout way, this might have been all done by Bettman to help NBC pick off Canadian on air hockey talent. NBCSN already uses Gord Miller on a few broadcasts, but his commitment to TSN keeps him there most of the time. With TSN out of the picture, this frees him up to call more games for them, plus hire others that are not thrilled with the idea of moving to CBC or Rogers.
As far fetched as it may seem, it sounds like the kind of backroom weasely move Bettman likes to try.
Some reports that CBC's agreement with Rogers is only for the first 4 years of this deal. Speculation that after the 4th year Rogers may push CBC out. If true. basically those 4 years will be essentially a transition period while Rogers takes over HNIC.

really? so only 1 network in canada will have broadcast rights to hockey in 4 years??? cant be
The biggest loss for me is Bob McKenzie, he doesn't try to push any agenda, just pretty much old fashioned straight on reporting and he doesn't take cheap shots like some of his colleagues at TSN.
