Carol Vadnais passed away over the weekend from Cancer.

Giguere retired and with that the last player in the NHL to have played for the Whalers organization.

I remember watching Vadnais as a youngster, solid defenseman, not too flashy, but very steady. Sad to hear of his passing.

Cant say who won that 1975 trade; although NYR fan favorites Park and Ratelle were sent packing...and if memory serves me correctly; the Canadiens dynasty ended up beating Boson twice and the Rangers once in that 4 yr. run. Although Espo gave it his all in the 78/79 season and Finals for NY.
