It reminded me of a Badger football game from a few years back, when they decided to start the clock on the kickoff when the ball was kicked, rather than when the receiver touched it. The Badgers scored with 30 seconds in the half and proceeded to line up 5 yards offsides and kick it out of the endzone 3 times, getting penalized, setting up for a new kick, and running out the clock. We didn't do it to win (we were up 3 scores), it was to show a stupid rule.

And I don't disagree with their tactic. It's called strategy and I support it.

I just think as long as the Flyers keep the puck moving, the refs shouldn't dictate what they do with it. why don't they force Tampa to move after the player with the puck? If they're going to blow the whistle, have the face off at center ice so there's no bias against 1 team.

Keith Jones mentioned changing the rule so the face off comes to center and I think every one should agree 100%

How this wasn't a rule with already is beyond me.

Now if you changed the score and the winning team wants to hide it in their zone, then yes the faceoff should remain in their own zone.

But in a 0-0 game, there is no significant advantage there.

If I were Lavi, I would be playing the game under protest. You can't allow one team to play their "system" and penalize the other team for playing their counter system.

Last season too. Mostly getting this from Bolts-Caps games, so maybe they play it more vs the Caps?

I think the refs got a talking to during a commercial break. Haven't had a whistle for it since, but we also haven't had a major keep away since.
