NBA has dropped off over the years but Kobe Bryant is one of the greatest athletes alive. I love hockey and the Flyers but I can't think of any hockey players that come close to him.

You'd actually be surprised at how many hockey players(who have to do their craft on skates) are adept at many other sports including baseball,lacrosse,football,etc..

Not to undermine Bryant's basketball skills, but I never really heard about him being good at any other sports.

how do las

I'd say LeBron is up there in bball.
the thing is with bball-you have most teams that play 6-7 guys regularly,so not hard to be best by % wise.

Football, baseball, and hockey rosters are much bigger,so IMO if you are a star like Crosby,Datsyuk,Sedins,etc..year after year,it's pretty damn impressive.

Bryant is one of,if not the best ,but a long ways to go before he has the stature of Bobby Orr or Gretzky linked to him for eternity.

I meant skill but he's up there athletically as well. They say he is nasty at soccer (grew up in Italy) and that he would've been a pro soccer player if not for basketball.

Kobe is the fiercest competitor I've seen, has been great for a long period of time, and plays through injuries. He is the man! He work ethic is second to none. He is the second greatest player after MJ (and he's not too far off from him either).

lol.. i think they read my posts yesterday :L

we'll see how the offense does tonight in what i'm sure will be a tight checking game. the latest version of the flyers has always been able to out run and gun teams when defense and goaltending are optional (ie pens games)
