He's not coming back home guys.

Rams will have to look elsewhere for a veteran backup.

I think they will go with Davis and Brady Quinn. Quinn hasn't signed with anyone to date and I think he likes it in St Louis.

I don't think Quinn adds much as far as veteran presence is concerned.

I think they would be better off with Davis and a rookie instead of Quinn.

Even Colt McCoy would be a better candidate than Brady Quinn.

Related move: Houston trade Schaub to the Raiders for a 2014 late round pick.

This is a pretty good indicator that Texas is going to take a QB or go with the ones presently on their roster.

It is a crystal clear indicator that the Texans are taking Clowney to pair with Watt. Our pick at #2 has zero value now unless we decide to completely pass on Watkins.

How does it have zero value? Teams wanting a QB are going to want a specific player, not just be happy getting any QB.

Clowney is going to Houston, they will look at Garappolo,Carr or McCarron at the top of round 2
Atlanta will not trade up if Clowney is gone because they can get Robinson or Matthews at #6
Oakland will only trade up for Watkins at this point.
Jacksonville and Cleveland know we are not taking a QB so they will have their pick of Bortles,Bridgewater and Manziel at #3 and #4

Essentially the only real play we have now is with Cleveland because they might want to jump Jacksonville to get the QB they want.

If we do not trade, the only play that makes sense is Watkins at #2, FS at #13 and OG in the 2nd.
Hell even if we trade with Cleveland, that is the smartest play we can make

I fail to see how you can conclude that Houston is not going to draft a QB. They were expected to be a contender last season before things fell apart. They certainly can't believe that Fitzpatrick is the savior and going to do better than Shaub. You have a valid point Ksu, but I don't think it is by no means a foregone conclusion that they will draft Clowney. Everything is still speculative at this point.

Every mock I'm reading has us taking Robinson @ 2. Not Watkins.

Most of those mocks do not want to project a trade. They essentially are saying Robinson is the the guy they think we will end up picking once a trade is made. If we do not trade, drafting an OT is not the right play at #2. That is my point.

If Fisher has never drafted OL in the 1st round, why should I believe that he will suddenly draft one with the 2nd pick in the 1st round...I just can't see it...

Great post zeke. Isn't it amazing how all the "experts" are all over the place. Much like this board. This draft is gonna be fun.

I don't think there is a single person here who is hoping for Robinson. If we do pick him, there is going to be a lot of pissed off people around here. :gaah:

But I guess I do like the idea of developing a POWER RUN GAME. I believe at this point, its the only thing that's going to help Bradford. Zac Stacy will like this!! It sucks burning such a high pick on a tackle/guard.

I would not be upset at getting Robinson..... at #6 or #8 if we trade down!! No reason to pick him at #2.
