I don't remember trading up to #1 that year? and if we did I doubt it was so many picks.
Hey Shops, did you see what spot we traded up from?#6 overall, 3rd rounder, 4th rounder and seventh rounder to move up to pick Pace

Duh, I skimmed right over that ...Umm, #6 lol?

So to move up 5 spots, they gave up a high first rounder (#6); a high (I'll guess) 3rd (#70) and 4th (#106) and a 7th?
Sounds about right.
ill say this also. Trading up for a tackle is way less risky then moving up for a QB. Especially one that wasn't rated that high.

Goff was the #1 ranked QB by many sites, including CBS. 5th overall behind Tunsil, Ramsey, Bosa, and Jack.

Sorry but highly rated tackles can also be very risky, there's no real guarantee with any one? That's why I wouldnt move up, the only exception might be a lights out tall, fast, big hands receiver, you can't teach that!
I get that but it was considered a down year at the QB position from recent years. That's why the trade up seemed so risky. It wasn't like he was an Andrew Luck prospect or even close.
I would say Tackles are still the safest bet. WR'S tend to get in off the field trouble a lot. Blackman, Gordon, etc. you don't see WR's go #1 to often.
You can honestly say that considering the Rams recent issues drafting OTs early?
