I always loved using the Chiefs. Okoye and Word as the backs, Montana as the QB and Derrick Thomas getting 80 sacks a season = domination

Yeah I played with them some and also the Raiders with Bo Jackson and Marcus Allen. I forgot about Derrick Thomas putting nonstop pressure on the QB and Okeye and Word destroying the defenses.

My answer? Chris Johnson and Jackie Battle between our tackles.

Titans all day long!

Jackie Battle is the man! Chiefs and Chargers fans ought to know that.

I don't see it. They'll stack the box and make Fitzpatrick beat them. Damn good defense. I'll be pulling for the Titans against a division foe but I just don't see it.

This may sound wierd but I'm more relaxed when the defense is on the field because I almost expect big plays from them on every drive. If only we had better receivers. Bowe pisses me off so much. That and our o-line needs to get their shit together as well.
Why is it Bowe's fault? Doubt he's seeing much single coverage, but should see some with the threat that Charles is.

I think it's more about the reluctance to throw down field. Seems like they are content with dumping it off in the flat to Charles or a 7 yard pass to the WR and let them do the dirty work. Going into yesterdays game, Smith had 105 pass attempts with only 8 of them further than 15yds down field.

Bowe's always been a deep threat but if your QB isn't capable of throwing the deep ball, then it's hard to blame Bowe.

Technically they are second the last two weeks due to division record tiebreaker.

obviously you don't know all that much about Bowe, then. guy's ALWAYS been a possession receiver. doesn't have the speed to be a deep threat. Donnie Avery is a better option deep...

as far as Smith being afraid or capable, i'm not buying it. not saying Smith has the strongest arm, but if the offense isn't styled that way then it's going to VERY difficult to look for options that far down the field. sure, it'd be great to throw deep to back opponents out of the box and all, but Rich Gannon proved a while back that you can play the game with long hand offs...

seems to be working so far, so I have no complaints...

Bowe can be a deep threat at times, but was asking more about how you and other dude can be pissed off at him. He's only getting 5.5 targets a game so far and on pace for just under 600yds. Charles had 11 targets yesterday and avg. 8.3 per game.

What they're doing is working, but playing from behind and asking Alex to get you down field for quick scores may be another thing.

Good luck the rest of the way.

mostly because of the drops he's had in my case. which honestly would get you less touches if I were calling the shots...

maybe. guess we'll know when that happens...

Good luck the rest of the way.

thanks. honestly this team's playing above my expectations. i was HOPING for a 10-6 season, but most were saying 8-8. i'll ride it as long as it lasts...

I am happy for the Chiefs, but the madness ends this Sunday in Nashville.

Titans 24 - 10

Ummm.....no.

Although I was starting to think that the Chiefs that I have been watching for 30 years were going to happen again when Tennessee took the lead in the third. This game had all of the traits of a game that KC really ought to win but still finds a way to lose. But thankfully that was not the case today.

5-0 baby!

Yep. KC would have won bigger. Fitzpatrick was their best player today. The Chiefs historically have a bad habit of making no name scrub QBs look like All Pros. And very nearly did that again today. Hats off to the titans though. They never gave up. WTF was that FG attempt at the end? I understand trying to score at the end for pride but why not just heave it to the endzone?

i was thinking maybe they were gonna kick 3, hope for a few ticks left on the clock, and kick the on-side. WAS a 2 possession game and all. that's the only thing i can come up with...

6-0 baby! The Chiefs have a championship caliber defense. If only we had a few more weapons on offense, we'd be real contenders. I think Prior just got sacked again! And what's more...loudest outdoor stadium in the world! Suck it Seattle!

It may be time to get desperate on the WR front ( smith isn't the problem here) start AJ I can't crack the lineup in San Francisco Jenkins.

Possibly...though I think we've given them plenty already for Smith who I agree is NOT the problem. I've been hearing rumors about a possible trade with the Falcons to get Tony G back. That would be sweet but I think at best it's a long shot.
