I think at worse we need to come out of this at 2-2,,,,my glasses want to say 3-1, call me crazy I think beating Bama is more of a possibility than beating Oklahoma. If you listen to this team they have been working their asses off this offseason...we are going to take Towson and Maryland.

What do you guys think? I really believe we are going to surprise some people this year.

I'm not sold on OU. Bama made their QB look like a 1st team All-American in the Sugar Bowl, but the guy was average at best during the regular season, and he had a terrible Spring Game.

I think WVU can escape the first 4 with a 2-2 record.

I believe Bama will be too tough for the Mounties, but I think an upset over OU at home is gonna happen.

If we were to go 4-0 we would be the #2 ranked team in the country after knocking off #2 Bama, and #3 OK would move up to #2 that would be 2 number 2's to knock off in 4 weeks would we then have to be # 1 or #2?

That is wishful thinking. If all the clouds and stars alighn perfectly we will be 4-0 after 4 weeks. I think 2-2 is more realistic with an outside shot of 3-1. I do think we have a shot against Bama. Our team will be up for it for sure. I would think it would be tuff to get them up to play a 4-8 team. Saban won't look past us but the players may.

Yeah... I weird like that...

But, even though Knight has solid experience as you say... he isn't very good. We play them at home.

Coker is supposed to be a stud, he is surrounded by studs... we play them in the South... and they have a great defense.

We will see about Coker...won't by the hype until he actually does it on the field. My FSU family told me the battle for QB1 last year was not as close as Jimbo played it up. I think Bama is overrated this year as far as rankings go...does that mean we will stomp them "no " but I think it will be a lot closer game than some predict.

Like I said before we come out 2-2 and I think we can do some good.

I'd say #1. You beat Bama and OU in the same month and take care of business in the other games then in my mind nobody else can touch that resume in 2014 at that point.

I'll just say this... Go ask the Sooner fans... For some reason those guys are giving us a ton of respect. Some have publicly stating they're scared of the game in Morgantown.

I can see 2-2, but it's going to take major strides to be better.

Hell it wouldnt be too much of a shocker with how things have been the last few years if WVU was 1-3 after four, and the win is against 'Bama.

I keep saying it and there is no science to it at all just a gut feeling this team is going to be much improved...12-0 undefeated no, 8 to 9 wins I see possible. This first 4 will be telling...I guess in a couple of weeks we will have to get our prediction thread going and put it out there for all to see.

The feeling I am getting is just watching player interviews and reading quotes...they seem confident which is good, but they also all seem to be going in the same direction. We will see gents.

I think we might be seeing things like that all over CFB in the future. More like the NFL iyam.

This team has the potential to win 9 games. That said, this schedule is brutal. We lose a few key players and it could flip and be 9 losses. We still don't have the depth to be able to lose players and keep chugging. It's getting better, but we're still a few classes away. The question for me is, do we have enough depth this year to take care of Iowa State and Kansas?
