This is why I said I was not judging the D by the Nevada game because it didn't mean anything. Well the D wasn't anything special against Nevada and still didn't get a sack.

While that has some appeal because he is a known quantity, I think we would have to wait a few more years because Diaco likes to run a 3-4 and we've recruited 4-3 DL and press corners. I don't think our current players or '17-'18 recruits would fit.

I think they would fit. Diaco's defense on the National Championship team consisted of mostly Weis recruits which I think came from a 4-3 difference.....I could be wrong though. You don't know until you know

Yeah, but I think about guys like Ishaq Williams, who was a prototype 4-3 DE forced to play OLB in Diaco's scheme. I don't think he was nearly effective. And then guys like Doug Randolph who were recruited as OLB and had to transition to DE, and never really got a shot.

All I know that I am happy BVG is gone. It will give me some peace. Season is a lost but lets hope we can approve now. After the season hire the best DC out there. Also please done hire with in. We need a top guy. Only way I hire with in is if this new DC really turns this D around this year.
