Don't trade away capital in the draft for Jenkins. Lots of really good options are going to be there. The Bengals are not just an OL or 2 positions, away from making a move like this.

Also - it's not their MO.

Here's the thing, though. It's not like Jenkins is far away the best option in round 2. The drop off is slight between him and the next 3-4 options.

I'd be more likely to agree if the drop-off were bigger, but IMO, it's not.

Also - if anyone wants to look at precedent - The Bengals have moved back in round 2. They've traded back to garner extra picks in 2017, 2018, and 2019.

If they have multiple guys still on the board at their pick - and they can slide down 4-5 spots and still land a guy while picking up an extra 3rd or 4th...I think they may look hard at that move.

FWIW - I tried to do a small trade down to account for this potential while picking up an extra 4th this year. Cost me a 5th for next year as well.

Also - I think Forrest is highly under-rated. He tested out of this world in his pro-day, and his film is also very good. He is a guy that should be able to play a solid backup role at Safety and in the slot at times, as well as be a potential Special Teams Ace.
