What i'd like to see, and this is what I hope will happen, not necessarily what I believe will happen:

Lakers sign DLo and Cousins

Fill the rest of the roster with players willing to take smaller contracts. JR, Korver, even Melo has been mentioned

That would be pretty crazy if they got Cousins on the MLE. Depends on what kind of offers he gets.

Apparently, the blood isn't that bad.

Awhile back when asked about the possibility of returning to the Lakers, he had said something to the effect of the Lakers "not being part of his legacy".

But more recently he said that with Magic out, he'd consider it.

I'll be a little surprised if he ends up with the Lakers, but I think it's a real possibility. Especially if they are the only contending type team that tries to sign him.

I dunno. I remember even his agents don't get along with the Lakers. We'll see but I would be very surprised.

I believe they still can't get a max FA. They would only have around $18M or so. You have that cap hold on Klay until he signs max
Curry Will make approx 40
Draymond 18.5
Klay's cap hold is 28M (so meaning if he agrees to the deal he can wait to sign so the Warriors have additional cap space because they have his bird rights).

Just those three alone put the Warriors at 86.5M. Then you have the draft pick cap holds, 2M Livingston buy-out, Damian Jones, Jacob Evans, Alfonzo McKinney and that easily puts the Warriors over 94M. NBA salary cap is 109, meaning the Warriors have about 15M in cap space if Iguodala is moved and KD doesn't resign. That's not nearly enough to get Tobias Harris.

I see him trying to make the most money he can on a contending team. With KD and Klay out most of next season, I don't see the Warriors being the clear favorites. And most other major contenders don't really have the cap space.

I hope the Lakers don't sign DLo, that would be a mistake.

Why? It looks like every other max guy or close to max guy isnt quite interested at this point

I predict that no matter what the Lakers do, Wiggy will still be an asswipe that finds excuses to make fun of them

I'd rather fill the roster with 3 and D guys and high level roll players. DLo is getting too much love lately and his stock is rising higher than his value, the Lakers will overpay for him when he isn't really a complementary player to Lebron or AD, IMHO.

Lakers don't really need Horford. If they're going to overpay for a player it would be for a guard

Good point, but maybe to go to LA he'll take a little less.....also allows AD to play PF which I've heard he prefers, correct?

Some in the regular season but mostly in the playoffs. He's good but he's isn't worth the Lakers giving him more than $20 and no way will that be enough. He probably won't even get enough touches to earn his salary. You need players who are content with limited touches and will make the most of those touches. I think DLo would need too many touches to be effective and happy.
