The final Elite 11 QB's have been determined.

Shea Patterson (Ole Miss) is the MVP... the other 10 QB's in alphabetical order:

Shane Buechele (Texas)
KJ Costello (Stanford)
Jacob Eason (Georgia)
Feleipe Franks (LSU)
Jarrett Guarantano (Tennessee)
Dwayne Haskins (Maryland)
Malik Henry (Florida State)
Brandon McIlwain (South Carolina)
Brandon Peters (Michigan)
Anthony Russo (Rutgers)

Conference Breakdown:
SEC - 5
B1G - 3
ACC - 1
PAC - 1
Big XII - 1

It's nice to see the two newest members of the B1G getting themselves an Elite 11 QB recruit.

Being Elite 11 doesn't mean shit a lot of times. We just had an Elite 11 QB leave the team because he was buried in the depth chart.

He would have won the entire comp if he hadn't skipped a day for 7 on 7's with his HS team. Now he's at some CC in socal.

Asantii Woulard WON Elite 11 the same year Johnny Stanton made it and he just transferred out of UCLA to USF. Couldn't hack it.

Point is, yes there are some great QB's that come through there, but it's not some gold standard predictor.

And no I'm not saying this because Patrick O'Brien didn't make the final cut.

Seth Green and Jawon Pass are elite as well

Green came out of spring ball the second string QB at Allen this year. You may want to hold off on that

Any idea how they scored the final day? Starkel (OKST commit) was in the top 11 the entire time, went 8 for 8 in the 7 on 7's the last day and didn't make it. I figured he had a good shot at making it but I guess it wasn't enough.

What are the credentials of the people doing the evaluating, and are the players paying a fee to attend these camps?

I don't see how a player (Johnny Stanton) can supposedly do so well at one of these things, end up not making a 105 roster, and transferring to a JUCO. :L

Really Wilson just looks like a little better prospect, but I gotta tease Mamba because Frost and Oregon have a hard on for him.

Wilson is a spitting image of RGIII.

Being on this list means next to nothing when trying to project success at the collegiate level. Just look at the would be senior class(or RS Juniors) that were in the Elite 11:

Austin Appleby
Neal Burcham
Shane Dillon
Bart Houston
Chad Kelly
Zach Kline
Jeff Lindquist
Tanner Mangum
Zeke Pike
Chad Voytik
Jameis Winston

Only one of them has had success, albeit Winston had huge success.

With that said the entire 2012 QB has been pretty awful.

Green doesn't have a D1 arm IMO. He'd make a great WR for them, but he's not a good fit for Oregon's offense. He's big and strong. Maybe a Kansas State or a Minnesota attack, but he's not gonna be able to do what they're gonna ask of him. Wilson would. Just a much more natural passer. and a bit better athlete.

Yeah that's what I was saying earlier in this thread. It's not an accurate predictor and some might even call it a total farce.

1st off bruh you suspect.

2nd off Johnny Football was never the 2nd coming of anyone. He was a 3 star dual threat. Those are a dime a dozen these days.

There aren't any star ratings for having "IT".

Yeah it really is. Most the QB's go to college and do absolutely nothing. Usually 2, or at the most 3 from each class produce anything of significance at the collegiate level. JT Barrett, Cardale Jones, Connor Cook, Dak Prescott, and Trevon Boykin were not Elite 11 QB's. It does look like the people at Elite 11 with the 2013 participants with Brad Kaaya, DeShawn Watson and Kyle Allen all looking like big time college QB's.

Lot of QB's in the NFL right now were Elite 11 guys. Luck, Stafford, Bridgewater, Sanchez, Orton.

But yeah the overall numbers are a joke. It's not like elite 11 "found" those guys either. They were already All-Americans going into the comp.

Yeah the Elite 11 has selected guys that have gone on to the NFL, but only at a rate of just above 33%. You'd think they'd be able to do better than that. Obviously the guys selecting the players has changed over the years, so maybe they will start turning it around. Although the kid they chose committed to Rutgers makes me wonder, his only other scholarship offers were to Bucknell, Buffalo, Uconn, Monmouth, Temple and Towson.
