Book being in tier 6 is pretty dumb, if you're going to have guys like Trask and Costello in tier 3. Hell I think Slovis is good, but Book still had a better year than him.

I didn't read the article so if they are doing some sort of combination of on the field play + pro potential than that would make a little more sense.

Slovis had passer rating of 167.6
Book had passer rating of 148.2

Book had comp percentage 0f 63.5
Slovis had comp percentage of 71.9 (top five in the country)

book threw 8 more passes and completed 42 less.
Book had two years and 20 starts before Slovis threw a pass.
Book had a better year?

I think Spencer Sanders from OK State is going to have a pretty bad ass season/career. He’s lumped in with some pretty shitty quarterbacks. I think of him as more of an up and comer.

I really like Chase Garbers from Cal. I realize because of how Cal runs their offense he’s labeled as a game manager but that dude can straight up ball. He had them undefeated and #15 when he went down. Without him they lost a bunch in a row. Then he came back for their last three games and they won all of them. He makes really good decisions and is extremely accurate.
if he can improve his decision making and learn how to take a hit, yes (sanders)

Book had a better TD/INT ratio. Slovis also plays in a much for QB friendly offense. Maybe after looking closer into things Slovis was slightly better. I don't think it matters that Book had more experience, when just comparing last year. If they are taking the future(meaning NFL potential into the equation, then there's clear separation there).

I just don't get the hype around D'Eriq King. I haven't seen alot of his games, but the few i have just seem bad. Maybe it was just the wrong games.

And lol at Jamie Newman. Dude would be tier 10 if he was still at Wake.

He quit on his team after 4 games last year, so you didn’t have much of a chance to see him.

I was impressed when saw him early in the season

Word is that Holgo asked him to do so....

His fumbles and questionable throws that resulted in Pick 6's?
Whether he did or didn’t is irrelevant if you boil it down. He didn’t: low character. He did: what does that say about him as a qb if his HC at a G5 school asked him to?

I mean Holgo pretty much said this roster is F'd, might as wait til my transfers get cleared for 2020. But it doesn't matter since nobody will care once he suits up for Miami. He's playing the game, same as the Bryant QB from Clemson a couple years ago

What is the point of numbering the tiers if they aren't rankings?

I assume you are probably right, but it's sort of crazy that they put us in Tier 7, when I would take either of our potential quarterbacks over anybody below Tier 3 in a heartbeat.

...of course you would, nobody would expect you to do anything different.

They actually put you in tier 9, not 7.

I was just telling some of my friends the other day, how could we have signed the top QB recruit in the country when we could have signed the #1 player in Kansas...

Yall talking about Spencer Sanders or Deriq King?

I was fairly impressed the little I saw of Sanders

Holgo comment was about King.. the fumbling and INTs was about Sanders.. I chalk it up to learning on the job.. be interesting to see how he does this fall

I watched some ND games. Book held them back. He didn't elevate the team. The team was better than its record. For a QB who had 20 starts already that shouldn't be the case.
