Have not seen anything yet TJFan12 after initial discussions with the Lakers back in the spring.

I could get on board with Odom... I'd hope he could be the Lakers Odom as opposed to the hurt feelings Odom... That 4 spot is what has me worried the most... I'm not sure about the rookie, you know how I feel about Kaman and Pau together which leaves Hill... I would run Hill personally but I don't like the fit too much... If you can tell I'm a huge fit guy and I don't like just putting talent out there to figure it out...

Another side note... I do like Kaman... I thought we could use him years ago in the triangle in replace of either Pau or Bynum... My problem is he and Pau are basically redundant and Pau is the better of the 2... Kaman off the bench would be solid if he would accept that role... We'll see shortly, and I am excited about this year believe it or not...

Those are some legit points wlk3. The weakness at the four was supposedly the impetus for Mitch selecting Kelly in the draft. This might be the guy that can platoon with Hill or Kaman in various combos because he can go inside, has a very good mid-range shot, and is an awesome 3-point shooter. The rook might be the answer except his defense is a bit suspect. Enter Kurt Rambis.

:hope: I'm not against rooks, I actually am hoping he can surprise like Parsons or be similar to Anderson with NO... I'm just not sure since I haven't seen him... Was hoping to catch him in summer league but I think he was hurt... We also still have Sacre which I am still a fan of... He is very much from the Rambis Maddog cloth... Slightly softer (I blame Canada) but better offensively than both of them IMO... Can't wait though honestly... I'm secretly optimistic eventhough I keep complaining...

Yea I agree wlk3 on Sacre. I have been a fan as well and I really like his potential especially working with guys like Madsen in the context of Rambis' defensive schemes. I like his energy which is right up there with Hill's and I see Sacre developing into a member of a consistent rotation. I sense good things for this kid and not necessarily riding the pines.

The reason Lamar Odom has not signed with either LA Team is because he is back in rehab to address his use of hardcore drugs. SB Nation is reporting that Odom has had a using problem dating back to his trade to the Mavs. I suspect living with a Kardashian would drive anyone to using drugs. Those people are insane. I wish him well.

I actually heard about Odom's coke from a ball player a few years ago when he was on the Lakers. I think I was told right after he'd married Kardashian. Remember when Odom would get criticized for his inconsistency and many attributed some of that to his huge consumption of candy, so some concluded that he was having sugar high's and lows.

But he won championships while using it as recreation. I don't think the Kardashian's were the big issue in the downfall of Odom. Remember, Odom started his career in Los Angeles with the Clippers, came back after being traded from Miami and fit in very well with the Hollywood lifestyle before he hooked up with the Kardashians.

I think what had the biggest affect on him was the vetoed Chris Paul trade. And then he asked to be traded, no realizing he probably wished the Laker management had not. So, now,was not only a Laker, something he love being, but he now was in Dallas, when he loved in in Los Angeles. So, I think then the coke use went from recreational to medicinal. So, though SB Nation is reporting drug use dating back to the trade, it was well before that. The trade probably just shifted how he use them.

Lamar's addiction to (nose) candy, apparently.

Sad to hear really. The Clips have moved on and signed Jamison in his place.

Even with his issues, I wouldn't mind taking on Odom this season just to try and set him right. It's not like this Lakers team is going to contend for the 'ship this year.

Hopefully LO figures things out. He has kids. He doesn't need to be continuing that cycle.

Yea, I don't see him returning at least not in the beginning of the year. He really needs to clean himself up and that means hardcore rehab for awhile no matter when his addiction started and for what reason. If he doesn't, he's pretty much done because his margin of error is closing due to advancing age.

Well the latest on Lamar happened this morning as he was arrested for DUI in LA. Apparently he is a complete mess. He won't be playing for anyone any time soon. I think the man is done!!

Yep CL67. Toastola. Stupid bastard let some life events including being married to a family of lunatics get the best of him. He won't be playing for the Lakers either. No, he is going the way of the rest of the Lakers that won the last championship like Derek Fisher and others.

No woories. LO will play again... in a Lakers uni. He's got a good 3 years left in him. After rehap, he should call MWP's shrink and talk this out.

LO apparently didn't go to rehab and was spending upwards of $800 a day on crack. Yes, I believe TMZ!! LO is not playing again in the NBA. I wouldn't take the chance anyway given his mental fragility.

That is right Lakersrule. Given his age and his habits, he is unofficially retired.
