I remember that... Rangers were about as close as you can get to a title... That did suck...

And thanks to our dumb ass, coke head manager we have no idea when we'll get another opportunity.

I went to a couple Rangers games when they visited Seattle back then... There offense was RIDICULOUS... That was a good baseball team... Definitely should a got one title at least in that stretch... Definitely a talented group...

Alright, I'm done and off to Maui tomorrow morning to forget about this and look towards next year.

Go Hawks.

If this was baseball we bunted with Babe Ruth with 2 outs in the 9th down 1 ... I like what Emmit Smith tweeted... Worst call in Super Bowl history..... Emmit nailed that one...

That's how I feel right now having Lynch and 3 downs to get half a yard.... Bevell has done this many times before ... I hope his AZZ is outta town now... This was unforgivable... Congrats to the pats ...

Dont get me wrong, I was thrilled to see you guys lose. But it reminds me of two years ago when we inexplicably didnt run Gore from 1st and goal from the 6. If both teams had run the ball the NFC West would be on a 3 super bowl winning streak right now.

With that said, Congrads to a legend: Tom Brady

2nd down snapped with 26 seconds and 1 time out.
One of those last three plays had to be a pass. Best it came on 2nd down to keep the Defense guessing.

Pete was right to pass. It just didn't get executed. Maybe a different pass play, but pass was probably the right call on 2nd in that situation.

You probably belong to the 0.0000001% of the NFL nation that believes this...

But as the dead horse dictates, hindsight is always 20/20.

Poster has a good point.

Running Lynch was the safe call, no question...but the pass play call itself was not a bad call...unless...and that's what happened....Wilson might not have seen the inside defender, but he has to own this as well.

26 second left in the 4th quarter and you are 2&goal on the 1 yard line... WITH 1 TO LEFT... And arguably the BEST goal-to-go RB in the game??? In the SB? There's quite the gap between safe and insanity here... There just no way that I could/would support not running the ball in that situation.

Run it & get stuffed? Call timeout... Then contemplate passing. Too much riding on that single play. Sure we can divvy up the blame any way we want now that its over... But there's a huge elephant in that equation lol.

So much of football is doing what other guys does not expect. And correct me if I'm wrong but throwing an int at 1 yard line is a very rare event for a QB. I don't think Seattle ever thought that was possible when they called it.

I will fully admit I thought the game was over after that catch... I thought there was no way that Seattle wouldn't score a TD there.

Now you know how Pats fans felt after "the catch" by Tyree.

If you run on 2nd, miss, and have to burn the TO, then the 3rd down play HAS TO BE a pass, and the defense knows that.

Btw, beast mode was run five times in that situation this year. He only got in once says the ESPN stats wonk.

Yes, the hind sight of arm chair HCs who question Carroll.
Facts:
26 seconds left, 2nd down, one time out left.
No int's were thrown from the one this year until last night.
Lynch was run in this situation five times this year: he only got in the EZ once.
If you run and miss, then you virtually have to pass on 3rd, and the D will know it.
