Not sure "way over the top" is accurate....but...
It's been downright "shakespearean" at times....but to me that can be a good thing, and it actually has been.
He still remains one of 2 more enigmatic members of the group....the other being Daniel.

Surprise, surprise. The gentleman from San Francisco appreciates the gay, black token's melodramatic acting and character.

His acting is really pretty bad.

Well, hopefully Dillane arrest doesn't result in Nick getting killed off lol

Here's the thing...and I say this regretfully:

After watching this show, I no longer fear the walking dead.

Tho it's not even close to my favorite show, I'm seriously considering entering their whole fan-art deal. Everything I've seen so far has been shit.

Fear the walking dead is kinda screwing the pooch. Considering the fanbase & potential. I like Zombie movies even some of the cheesy ones.
But I am getting close to not even bothering with this one. & it has some serious backing vs. some better stories.
So far I am thinking what a waste.

I am more concerned with the stories it is stealing from the main show. There are two HUGE aspects that they have stolen right from the comics that should be showing up in the next 2-3 seasons...

Holly-grenade and the Whisperers

Now that we have seen these in Fear, what kind of shock will they bring if they use them in the main show?

My expectations were that it be somewhere near to the quality as the original series. I think it has been, not that that bar is too high of one.

For the original series for a year it was pretty much known who was going to show up in the season finale and how the season was going to end. The only real surprise was the cliffhanger was before the reveal. So the entire season was them getting to that place - often told from multiple perspectives. And often having the characters make poor decisions. Add in the multiple fake deaths, the multiple blood splashes on the camera lens and the show looks like it is being run by a comic book writer.

At least where Fear is going is a bit of a mystery. It still has the stupid name, but at least they dropped the horror movie noise when the title is shown each week.

Anyone know if Kirkman is going to be involved in the Cinemax adaptation of his series Outcast? Or if they just bought it. Trying to figure out if that has a chance of being good or not, not just guilty pleasure good.

Seriously? That might actually get me back into it. I am 3 episodes behind, probably gonna cram tonight. However, your spoiler doth intrigue me.

They should have Nick crossover into the main show with his penchant for whisperer like behavior

They dont actually have the Whisperers. They are just continually walking among the dead (covered in blood) and using the basic idea of the Whisperers.

The Holly-Grenade idea is totally used, though...

Time to see how well Nick can carry the show.

First EP appears to be all him
