It's raw, you donkey!
Not necessarily the best, but a list of my top five personal favorites:
1: A League of Their Own - I simply never tire of watching this movie.
2: Bull Durham - Not just a great baseball movie, but a reminder of when Costner didn't go through the motions.
3: The Natural: Baseball storytelling at it's finest. 'Nuff said.
4: Eight Men Out - IMO, the benchmark for writing and acting in a baseball movie. Loses points for the inevitable unhappy ending.
5: Major League - List would not be complete without it. The horrible sequels must never be spoken of again.
Honorable Mention: Moneyball - Another baseball movie that is well written and acted, and scores bonus points for Philip Seymour Hoffman as Art Howe.
Agree or disagree? What are your personal favorites?
