I mean I like the Carroll and Kelly hires but I am not sure about that...especially at that MV of $40M

All just talk at this point.

I just wanted to get @TREFF revved up. :D :D :D
Well like I said all year, as much as I don't care for him as the QB for a legit contender, he's infinitely better than what the Raiders have, so whatever.

But yeah, anything more than 20-25 mil, it's a friggin waste on that dude

Jon. Brooks to miss all or most of 2025..this after he missed all or most of 2024. Dude was literally the only projected 'game changer' at the RB position in last years draft, and now he's looking to be a complete and utter bust, what a shame

You never know, Dobbins pulled it off. He wasn't quite the same, but still pretty damn good.

well kinda- he at least played enough to know that he was actually 'better than average' before consistently going down.
Pretty much a full season as a rook in a big time share, half a season year 2, 1 game year 3, and then another 13 this past season--I put him more like Fred Taylor, although not that good.

Poor Brooks can't even get on the field to get half a clue as to whether he's worth waiting on or not. as of now he's more like Ryan Willaims

Alrighty, a little conversation fodder here.

Will there be a Running Back Renaissance in 2025?

as the story mentions, I think there already was one in 2024- and yes I think it'll continue.

we know it's a copy cat league, and the success of Philly, with Barkley, Baltimore with Henry, Detroit with Gibbs and Monty, Green Bay with Jacobs, and others, that success will set a new trend.

I know we'll never get back to 3 yards and a cloud of dust, but I think the ridiculousness of RB's being 'a dime a dozen' is over- unless you're related to a Shannahan.

How the mighty have fallen!

I'm still behind the guy, but WOW.

Dolphins hired former Texans offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik as their senior passing game coordinator.
Slowik was fired after a disappointing 2024 season with the Texans offense. He was a hot head coaching candidate after helping C.J. Stroud to a formidable rookie season in 2023, but nearly all offensive numbers faltered in Stroud’s second season. The Texans chose to move on, and now Slowik joins the Dolphins as passing game coordinator. The 37-year-old will have a chance to work with Tua Tagovailoa to improve Miami’s passing game.

Toney is accused of putting his hand around a woman's throat, squeezing "with enough force to cause her to be unable to breathe," according to police documents obtained by FOX 5.

Toney was accused of taking the woman's phone during the altercation so she couldn't call authorities, leaving her with marks on her neck and hemorrhaging in her eyes.

Kudos to anyone who was able to get any value out of a Taysom Hill trade the last few years, looking like the ride is over

Probably, in New Orleans for sure, but he could be picked up by a team say like the Bronco's or Seahawks as a utility player perhaps, seeing he has connections with the coaching staff.

Think he's older than Kelce?

Guess not.
Kelce = 35 and 131 days
Hill = 34 and 174 days

well Denver is in dire need of an athletic TE, wouldn't shock me at all to see Peyton bring him in. Really be a damper on his TE/QB numbers though, as they won't need him to do those 'under center' things, Bo has enough get up and go on his own that the gimmick wouldn't be needed

Chiefs need a serious talent infusion on offense.

Virtually the entire line, 2-3 WR, a real RB, and a replacement for Kelce.

The line is obvious, no need to comment further. Kelce is done-spent, Hopkins is done, Hollywood can't beat coverage, Worthy is one dimensional, Pacheco still has no vision, instincts, and has issues in pass pro, Hunt/Perine ain't it.

And Andy Reid needed some humility, his cuteness and refusal to run the ball worth a shit finally bit him in the ass
I like Worthy but long-term maybe best as a 3rd option even if his numbers might exceed that. Rice I think might be a #2 if he can hide his crazy. Kelce maybe has 1 year left as either the #4 option or an expensive backup.

I think its so obvious that the Chiefs need to get a bellcow type of back in the draft. So not Henderson (although he has some fantastic highlights) but someone. The positional values of players who can run the ball is lower so its actually possible to build that. I dont think the Chiefs can build a top 5 pass offense with the resources theyre looking at.
