@TREFF
I know you have been critical of Caleb Williams. (I have seen others labeling him a bust.)

Saw a report the other day that i have a hard time believing is true. The report was that the Bears former OC Shane Waldron refused to review film with his rookie QB. So Williams built his own room to review film himself.

If this is true, how does Shane Waldron have a job in the NFL? There is so much wrong with this I dont even know where to begin.

To me, the franchise record numbers Williams put up in lieu of this rumor at least gives me hope that Williams can be the real deal.

If true, it certainly sheds new light as to C. Williams work without.
And yeah Waldron should be out of coaching- if true

Let's say he didn't want to coach Caleb. He's the OC, not HC, on a team that just used the 1.01 on a QB.

Being a little baby back bitch about it and not even trying to do your job...hell of a way to interview for your next gig.

I'll never understand people that do that kinda shit in the real world too. I hated one of my former managers but I still worked up until my resignation day and helped transition my work. Never know who will one day be in a position to speak about you, id prefer they remember my work being good even if we didn't get along.

Doubt it’s as presented here. The source is a podcaster.

One variation might be Caleb wanting individual film review and Waldren saying he does team review, and Caleb should do QB review in the QB room with the QB coach, and is welcome to do additional review on his own.

Caleb making his own room kinda sounds like a problem tbh.

Yeah this comes across as a attempt to pass the blame for Cabel under whelming season onto others. No way does a OC refuse to do film study with his big name rookie QB, that doesn't even make sense and I'm amazed anyone swallows that as accurate.

@TREFF, your wildest dream could come true! :D :D :D

ESPN’s Adam Schefter believes the Raiders could be a team to watch as a potential suitor for Sam Darnold.

The Raiders are in desperate need to upgrade over Aidan O’Connell this offseason, and a union between Pete Carroll and Darnold could be in the works. Expected to fetch money that will put him at or near the top of the quarterback market, Darnold is coming off an unprecedented 4,319-35-12 season in what may be his only year with the Vikings and head coach Kevin O’Connell. No longer looking like the player who was a bust for the first six years of his career, whichever team takes a long-term shot on Darnold will hope what we saw in 2024 was no fluke and that he can turn a franchise around for the foreseeable future.

As i mentioned, hard to believe it may be true for the reasons @wilwhite and @HaroldSeattle mentioned. And if this story were from the Athletic or Sports Mockery i would really questipn the validity. But this was reported on by Sports Illustrated!!!

If it adds any credence, Jaxon Smith-Njigba made ambiguous comments about Waldron a year ago when he was hired on as the Bears OC.

Not sure how ambiguous this is.

“Good luck to y’all,” Smith-Njigba said, via CHGO. “I mean, he’s a great person. He’s a great offensive coordinator. I was very lucky to have him my first year. Learned a lot from him."

Found at least 2 other articles that added some details about JSN's response. That he looked uncomfortable and paused before answering. Then seemed to add the typical "he's a great person" cliché responses. Harmless in print. But the exchange was awkward live.

Now it sounds like i'm defending Caleb. I stil find it hard to believe Waldron would not take the time to mentor Caleb.

I will say that with all of the scrutiny week after week, whether it wad the horrible weekly press conferences to explain coaching decisions, the body language of Waldron with Caleb on the sidelines during games.... there were definite issues. How bad?

This reflects on Eberflus too. How is an NFL head coach unaware of this?

Since this all boiled over just a day or two ago, we may start to hear more.

Be careful what you say of Eberflus.

He is now one of Jerrah's boys. ;)

Yeah, first he kinda paused and laughed awkwardly and said, "Is this live?"

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports that a “standoff” is underway between the Falcons and Kirk Cousins.

Garafolo adds that the two sides are currently not in communication. In a recent interview, Cousins covered up a Falcons logo while backtracking on prior comments about the health of his shoulder, saying his play was in fact hampered by a shoulder injury after initially denying the shoulder issue being a factor. It appears as though this union is headed for a split.

Chiefs need a serious talent infusion on offense.

Virtually the entire line, 2-3 WR, a real RB, and a replacement for Kelce.

The line is obvious, no need to comment further. Kelce is done-spent, Hopkins is done, Hollywood can't beat coverage, Worthy is one dimensional, Pacheco still has no vision, instincts, and has issues in pass pro, Hunt/Perine ain't it.

And Andy Reid needed some humility, his cuteness and refusal to run the ball worth a shit finally bit him in the ass
