Von Miller to the Rams.

They continue to shed picks like they are old dirty pennies, defense should get some pressure on QBs with Miller and Leonard Floyd coming in hot on both sides of Donald
Funny, they just did a deal sending Kenny Young to the Broncos from the Rams...why didn't they just do this then?

an "okay" running game might be good enough if we were talking about a QB who was more than "exceedingly mediocre" (or worse). But Tranny's entire success story is playing of Henry's dominance. whiteout that, the whole thing likely rockets right off the rails. You make a trade for a better than average RB (Gordon), you've got a shot with a good O line and Tranny. you pin your hopes on some random dude like McNichols, or virutally any free agent left available at this point, yeah sure, your run game can be mildly productive, but good enough that Tranny can get those wow plays to AJ Brown and Julio? I have my doubts
I just mean the RB from an FF perspective. This hurts the Titans a lot.

Opportunity for Tannehill, Jon Robinson and Vrabel to really earn their money.

Well there's still AP, and Gurley sitting out there as FA's, and yes, Alf and various other sloths

potential trade targets- Gordon, maybe Hunt?, anyone on the Texans, a whole string of the standard retread journeymen types, Hyde, L. MIller..etc..

Titan's entire offense is centered on a strong rushing attack, and there's every possibility that without one, they go into the tank for the remaining nine games. At 6-2, they've gotta be thinking about making a strong run, surely they won't rely on Jeremy McNichols....right? If that's the case, so long AJ Brown and and Tranny as reliable fantasy assets as well.

It would be cool to see more Frank Gore.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Titans signed RB Adrian Peterson.

Peterson will be signed to the practice squad and then elevated to the active roster. Derrick Henry is undergoing foot surgery that will likely sideline him through the end of the regular season. The Titans' only other running back on their roster is Jeremy McNichols, who has gotten some run on third downs this year. He will likely play an expanded role with Henry out but Peterson projects to earn the bulk of the early-down snaps once up to speed. Peterson ran for 604 yards at a sluggish, 3.9 yards per carry for the Lions last year. Prior to that he spent a pair of seasons in Washington and ran well despite playing on a poor offense. The Titans should shift toward passing more often now that their star running back is gone but don't expect them to lose their identity as a run-heavy team. Once integrated into the offense, Peterson should be able to put up RB2/3 numbers as the recipient of loads of carries on an efficient team.

funny thing, is gordon has never been better than average, hes been a volume guy. Even in his 1 and only year he had 1k rushing yards, he avg 3.9 ypc His end game numbers look good, in a vacuum. But diving into his metrics shows a woefully mediocre at best rb. He may be the best available. I agree with everything else you said. Not sure who they can get

With the trade of Von Miller Bronco's are signalling a full rebuild has begun IMO. Which means they are likely dangling Gordon who is a free agent at the end of the season. I could see the Titans trying to trade for him if the price is right and be a kind of win/win move for both teams.

yeah i could see it happen. I just never have viewed him as anything more than mediocre at best. His numbers back that up. Hes never been that good as a rusher, hes talented in the pass game for sure. Just doesnt seem like the guy the titans need. Honestly , AP.......and that pains me to say it right now.

well no, Gordon is by no means some great exceptional talent. But in the pecking order of "greatness", he's substantially closer to Henry than he is McNichols. If he's mediocre, than McNichols is significantly sub par. And if volume is what it takes for him to compile numbers, volume is what's available in TENN.

Regardless, looks like they'll be trying AP baring a trade in the next 24 hours or so

Hopefully this means Julio will be used as a football player in Tennessee.

Cant argue with that. I do argue that he is more a mcnichols styler player than henry style player

Aging player with enough in the tank to help the Titans and I think he's substantially better then McNichols. Sure he was over rated at his prime, but think your under rating him at the present.

Hes decent. Never great. Hes a first round rb whose been a bellcown with one 1k yard rushing season. My
Mchnichols comparison was due to their games. Both are better receivers than runners.

Well, I do have a team that goes into week 17 and another that goes into week 21 so here's to him making it back. On the team that goes into week 17 I now have had CMac, Henry, Gus tBus and AB all miss a lot of time..............still 7-1 in that league on the wings of Stafford, Kupp and Hendo. Maybe being a homer has advantages I never realized before..........or the Ram's are just good................lol.

600+yards and 7 TDs with the lowly Lions. I'd bet he still has a bit left.

Gordon has been running hard and catching passes. He has had more success with each passing week. He would be a great fit in Tennessee. having said that I am not sure the Broncos would trade him unless they get some good value.
