regardless of what Rodgers wants, the team acquiring him still has to cough something up to GB, they don't just get to sign him for free next off season, right?

what are the Steelers (or any team for that matter) putting on the table that makes them the front-runner over any other rumored team this time of year?

It would be INSANE if one of the Watson teams were actually putting together a package for Rodgers this whole time and not Watson.....Rodgers in Miami, gets to end his career in a state that has 0% income tax with his buddy TB12 down the way.
he may be cheaper than u think:suds:

The urgency to play Love may not be the biggest factor in a split with Rodgers. The veteran quarterback's contract restructure has caused his cap hit to balloon to a whopping $46.1 million in 2022, per Spotrac.com. That would eat up more than 20 percent of the team's salary cap space and they are already projected to be $32.8 million over the salary cap, in 2022 per OverTheCap.com.

MORE: When could Jordan Love start for the Packers?

Cutting or trading Rodgers would result in a dead cap hit of $26.8 million, but it would also free up $19.3 million in cap space. If the Packers are ready to give Love a chance, that extra cap space could allow them to trim their excess spending without getting rid of — or restructuring deals with — too many of the team's weapons.

I dont see any reason for him to be cut. Either extend him to balance the cap hits or trade him.

Anything that gets Rodgers out of the NFC North is ok with me.

@TREFF
If the Broncos sell, you better win the lottery and buy them. Probably not your personal first choice as far as franchises but the NFL is the NFL.

We wouldnt mind living in Colorado.

Yeah, I watched film on that Sargent kid..................dude is pretty slow. AP should be the man unless there is another trade brewing..........
Apparently the Titans thought the same thing and cut him from the practice squad.

The unkindest cut.

Michael Thomas (ankle) released a statement that he is out for the 2021 season.

News broke early Wednesday morning that Thomas had seen a specialist for a new injury to his ankle. Thomas indicated in his statement that this setback will cause him to miss the rest of the 2021 season. Thomas was utterly dominant in 2019, but will make his return a full two years removed from that spectacular season. Thomas turns 29 in March, and with Jameis Winton unlikely to be the Saints' starter in 2022, it's unclear who Thomas will be catching passes from in his attempt to recapture his elite form. Thomas' salary fully guarantees on the third day of the 2022 league year, in March. This will likely keep him in New Orleans, but it's not entirely out of the question that he's played his last snap as a Saint.
