Plenty of teams that needed one didn't take one, and plenty that didn't, did. Beyond disappointed at all the landing spots except Harris and Carter.I'm surprised the Falcons didn't draft a RB, guess they will sign a FA to round up the RB corp?
I thought the Dolphins would take one of the top 3 Rbs and disappointed it didn't happen.Plenty of teams that needed one didn't take one, and plenty that didn't, did. Beyond disappointed at all the landing spots except Harris and Carter.
Miami doesn't seem interested in helping Tua draw safeties in close even though their entire receiving Corp is straight speed, ATL obviously doesn't give a squirt about giving the defenses anything to think about other than the pass. Same thing in ARZ, smdh.
And if any of these GM's think Bell, Gurley, AP, or Shady will fix that problem, they'll all be looking for new careers shortly

That's 3.8 ypc...that's not scaring any safeties into the box and away from Julio, Ridley or Pitts, same way his 3.8 in LA the year before didn't scare anyone....and its closing in on washed. And even if he isnt..half a season of 3.8 ypc before he inevitably has knee issues again, isn't exactly a great alternative. Especially at whatever they'd have to pay him.Gurley will be back in Atlanta.
He had 140 carries for 530 yards and 8 TD in the first 8 games.
Yes. His knee gave out after the 9th, but he isn’t washed when he plays.

Naw, it may not be the reason they lose, but it may be the reason they don't win.Kind of hard for Julio to take advantage of safeties when he played less than Gurley.
I hear ya, but if he comes back, RB won’t be the reason they lose.
0-5 to start last year...
Gurley: 79 for 375 and 5 TD (4.75 ypc)

Partly yeah but I honestly wonder how much of this news is real and how much is just shit. Schefty admitted to knowing baout it for roughly two months and just broke it on draft day. I dont know how much I believe it. Yes I do acknowledge some issues with the Love selection but if he plays that well again he wont have to worry about him. I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle between Total Favre legacy ruining move or sunshine and rainbows. I think he wants some guaranteed money@Trudem rodgers being a bit of a diva eh?
I dunno, from an outsider, hes always been a big ol diva with a fragile ego. Hes upset, for the very reason favre was upset. AND he was PO about that whole situation with favre IIRC. I think hes truly hurt by them selecting love. hes made to many comments over a long time about the future, and him ruining the packers "plans"....Partly yeah but I honestly wonder how much of this news is real and how much is just shit. Or the Packers' brass may feel they can mend the bridge between them.Im sure he got a hit to his ego of some kind. You never want to not leave on your own terms. However you also cant put yourself ahead of the franchise and he is getting close to heading down that road IMO
Love is super raw and wasnt close to being ready last year and he still hasnt had a legit offseason of team activities. He still isnt ready IMO.
However if I am Gutey I tell Rodgers he can play or retire im not trading you especially now that the draft is over. For me, it would take an absolute haul to move him this year because of the dead cap hit. Next year the price goes down.
He wants money and wants to go out on his terms. Im sure the bridge can and will be mended. He is so emotionally and financially invested in the area it makes sense for both parties.Or the Packers' brass may feel they can mend the bridge between them.
didnt the 49'ers offer?Im sure he got a hit to his ego of some kind. You never want to not leave on your own terms. However you also cant put yourself ahead of the franchise and he is getting close to heading down that road IMO

Both sides publicly admit that "an inquiry was made", but it was quickly shut down by GB. No one I've reas/seen/heard claims there was an actual offerdidnt the 49'ers offer?

Well no they won't lose thier jobs over that singular decision...it's just representative of being a bad GM overall, thus, they won't be one for long.Zero GMs gonna lose their jobs over their RB decisions in today's league. They've devalued the position across the board.
Still weird, cause we see teams win the SB by NOT paying up for RB, but what about teams that don't even draft any?
