Well, with all that Stomp said..I can certainly understand that everyone is always hoping for more, and in almost every negotiation, you end up getting some, and end up giving some.

They've gotten a ton, I don't blame them for expecting/asking for more, but the bargaining chip of an extended schedule has definitely given them a lot already

Add Alshon Jeffery to the mix of overvalued guys like this.

Anyone got any others?

An NFC executive told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler he thinks free agent A.J. Green "wants out of Cincinnati."
This wouldn't come as a surprise given how things have played out to this point. Green doesn't want to be franchised and there hasn't been much progress on a new deal. After giving Tyler Boyd a $43 million extension in July, it's not a lock the Bengals bring Green back. Despite missing all 16 games coming off an injury-shortened 2018, re-signing Green will likely take at least the $16 million annually Adam Thielen got from the Vikings last offseason.

Guess he wasnt paying attention to M. Gordon's situation last year

gordon had 2yrs left on his deal, cook is in the final year of his rookie deal, so it does make sense that he'd have a little more leverage than what gordon did last year

True...
Although, its still a situation with a good looking younger RB on the team that showed he was pretty capable. I think Minnesota, much like the Chargers, would be just fine offensively wether he shows or not. Diggs wanting out of town is a bigger problem imho

agreed - i think they could easily get by with a Mattison/Boone RBBC, but I also don't think either of them have the game breaker HR capabilities of Cook.

It is one of the more interesting situations of the past few years, as all of the other RBs that have held out have had a lot more mileage (and less injury history) than Cook. He just hits some metrics that aren't easily replaceable

5th in yds created
8th in carries over 15yds
4th in evaded tackles
top 10 in both rushing yds and receiving yds for RBs

He had himself a phenomenal season last yr in only 14 games

Jags trade AJ Bouye to the Broncos for a 4th (The SF one from Sandes trade)
Interesting...I don't claim to be any expert on DB's, but, I would think that in today's game, a corner with a pedigree like Bouye's would've brought a bigger return...odd.

But, more fuel to the fire that the Donkeys go WR/RB , maybe OT (they REALLY should go OT, if its not a reach pick) at 15, corner was likely the biggest need, maybe not so much now.

Jags were going to have to cut him because he wouldnt agree to a restructure, which I dont think he should have. He is/was overpaid but he has 3 really good years under his belt

if you don't get one of the top 2-3 tackles, i think you're actually better off waiting until the 2nd or 3rd.

literally have nothing to back that up, other than "why reach if you already missed out on the top tier"

Yep, agreed, and I'm guessing they'd be looking at the #3, maybe even the #5 OT by then..most likely a big reach.
They're certainly a popular landing spot for a WR with all the mock drafts. Mist of them have them taking Juedy/Lamb/Ruggs..whichever is left after ARZ/JETS/RAIDERS pick

I haven't been keeping up on the rumor mill with the Bronco's. Lots of cap space and lots of picks after round 2. However since seeing your post I've been checking the rumors out. Some seem unlikely but possible, for example signing Derrick Henry or Melvin Gordon
Not good news for me because some how I've got Lindsay / Freeman in several leagues as a flex play.

Local dudes been talking about FA and rookie RB's all day today. Sounds like they want either A) a short yardage banger/clock killer or B) a third down type becuase they don't trust Lindsey's blocking...not that he doesn't want to or doesn't know how, but becuase he gets blown up too often. They pretty much dismiss a Henry/Gordon run, they don't see John going that route, but yeah, they're definitely chattering about adding someone, most likely at Freeman's expense

Broncs just used about $13+M on CB AJ Bouye. Still have some money but looking less likely that they land Melvin Gordon or Kenyon Drake.

Will they draft a high profile RB though? I'm hoping not.:rolleyes2:
Dudes today were talking "top 3 rounds"... tossing out names like Dobbins, Akers, MacFarland, CEH....but they about creamed thier pants when someone proposed the " what if" of Taylor being available at thier #2..

Yeah off season crazy talk don't you think? They got bigger needs IMO. Besides seems like they are leaning WR, more so then RB.:hope::lol:
