I'm curious as to why the Steelers are trying so hard to get another RB. I know Bell is suspended, but only for 3 games and they have 3 other RBs already on the roster (D-Will, Toussaint & D-Rich). They worked out Karlos WIlliams last week and now David Cobb this week. Makes me think somethin is up!??? Maybe something that hasn't been released to the media yet.

Or I'm overthinkin it and they just want to upgrade their depth. D-Rich & Toussaint aren't anything special. At least I haven't seen much to make me think otherwise.

Yup. Over thinking. But Lefty is right (pardon the pun)... the back ups are not great, and why I threw a dart at Brandon Brown-Dukes earlier. I thought the UDFA could have jumped DRich and Touissant. No dice.

Yea they must really not like the depth right now. They are also deciding to carry 2 RBs on the practice squad and only 1 CB. I say that because the CB depth situation is pretty scary right now.

Meh, I doubt it. Shorts is a possesion type, slot guy at this point, any targets he'd syphon from Evans or Jackson would be negligible. If anything, someone halfway reliable short to intermediate might help extend drives and create a few more scoring opportunities in the big picture

Not sure what it is, but even as the Cardinal D has been good, they typically don't cover TEs well, so should be a big game for Gronk if he plays, definitely for Bennett if he doesn't.

Should Gronk owners be wary and have a backup on hand?
Or wait it out until game day and see what's what?

I only have Gronk in 1 of my many leagues, so not overly concerned - was planning on just waiting it out.

You could be right...especially with the NF removing the probable designation. I expect much more gamesmanship this year and it will cause fantasy players to pull their hair out.

Thomas Rawls (illness, ankle) is expected to play, but is going to be eased back after missing most of training camp. Coming off a strong preseason, Michael has a chance to run away with the starting job. He's an upside RB2 against the Dolphins.
