And Watson rejects trades to everywhere except N.O. and Carolina..wow, guess he doens't want out of Houston so badly after all. really tying the Texan's hands behind their backs by severely limiting their options on who to trade with. 6 teams in a bidding war seems to have much more potential than 2. of course, 2 is better than 1.

he Houston Chronicle's John McClain reports Deshaun Watson has "rejected everybody but Carolina and New Orleans.”

McClain's report falls in line with ESPN's Adam Schefter's Monday report that Watson will meet with the Saints and Panthers, amid his deposition in 22 civil cases alleging sexual assault against the Houston quarterback. Watson is expected to meet with both teams in Texas Monday night. The Texans' asking price for Watson reportedly hasn't changed: The team still wants multiple first rounders and players in a blockbuster deal for Watson. Carolina would seem like a nominally better landing spot for Watson's fantasy prospects. Later reports would note that Watson nixed Seattle from the list of possible destinations while the Texans didn't pick up the phone for Indianapolis in order to keep him out of the AFC South.

Kaeps to the Seahawks? This is going to be a very interesting NFL season.

In an Instagram post, Colin Kaepernick was seen working out with Tyler Lockett.

It's notable a week after ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Kaepernick, unofficially blackballed by the NFL after his 2016 protests against police brutality, is "in the best shape of his life" and wants to return to the league. The workout with Lockett is noteworthy because Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said in a 2020 interview that he regretted not signing Kaepernick in 2017. "The reason it wasn't the right fit is because I held him in such a high regard I didn't see him as a backup quarterback and I didn't want to put him in that situation with Russ," Carroll said in 2020. "It just didn't feel like it would fit right. That's the way I felt about it." Seattle, meanwhile, is without a viable starting quarterback after dealing Russell Wilson to the Broncos last week. Now 34 years old, Kaepernick could be a no-risk signing for a QB-needy team like the Seahawks in the coming months.

Saints seem like a perfect fit. It will be interesting to see how they come up with the money. If these are the only teams left involved, I'd give the edge to Carolina.

Lol, after reading the "best shape of his life" quote, it makes me want to revive that old thread. :)

Evan Engram joins Christian Kirk in Jax..Shenualt beginning to look as though he'll be the forgotten man there. Bummer, the kid is exciting to watch with the ball in his hands
Only a one year deal for Engram. Perhaps Shenualt will be brought along more slowly as part of the offense?

Poor @HaroldSeattle , in less than a week, he's gone from having RW, to not, then staring Watson in the face and not wanting it, then Watson 'specifically' shot down the Seahawks, and now .. Kaeps is on the horizon.

Good luck with that

More head scratching from the Cowboys...extending D. Lawrence, who hasn't produced since signing the massive deal in the first.

Randy Gregory is sure to be gone now

I just don't get it, cutting strong players, in thier prime, because they're overpaid, yet overpaying others who either used to be good, or might be great, but just havent been.
So frustrating

Dunno about the money, but this is a good signing.

Panthers ain't foolin' around.

Watson, anyone?

Panthers agreed to terms with S Xavier Woods, formerly of the Vikings, on a three-year, $15.75 million contract.

A sixth-round pick of the Cowboys in 2017, Woods took a one-year deal with the Vikings last offseason and played the sixth-most safety snaps in football this past year. He received strong marks for his run defense from Pro Football Focus and will slide in next to Jeremy Chinn at safety for the Panthers with Juston Burris and Sean Chandler free agents.

Is this the "Out of Control" year?

Holy smokes, what will MVS get?

Jaguars agreed to terms with WR Zay Jones, formerly of the Raiders, on a three-year, $24 million contract.

Jones can max the deal out at $30 million. This is when you know you have too much money to even know what to do with it when you're handing Jones $8 million per year and perhaps up to $10 million annually. Jones turns 27 later this month and has scored two touchdowns since the start of the 2019 season. He's failed former Bills second-round pick who "resurrected" his career with a 47-546-1 line with the Raiders last season thanks to increased playing time following Henry Ruggs' DUI-murder. Jones is unlikely to carve out a fantasy-useful role in Jacksonville.

It is out of control. Some of these teams are spending like drunk sailors.

It just keeps getting more and more ridiculous. Zay Jones, a proven middling talent, as close to a bust as a second rounder can get, yet still be in the league.. 8-10 mill a year.

What in the entire F???

So now Trevor Lawrence has-
Marvin Jones
Christian Kirk
L. Shenualt
Zay Jones
Evan Ingram
Etienne
James Robinson.

I mean...that's not exactly a murders row, but it is significant talent. No excuses for him this coming season to not be at least mediocre
