But that inconsistency, is what keeps him from being in AB's category

Agreed there. And yet, he's ranked top 5 again by most.

Go to game logs and compare Evans to Jones. No contest, Evans was just better.

In what format? No matter, I've always been a big Evans fan anyway. Can't argue with you there.

Actually both standard and PPR. Evans was a real stud last year, guess we'll have to see if DJak siphon off some his glory.

Yep, TDs are the thing. In that respect, let's see what Jordy Nelson does as well.

Yeah, watching a Bucs game, you rarely, if ever, saw Evans having to walk the sidelines for entire series because his foot hurt. Lord only knows how many targets Julio misses out on because his foot or ankle acted up. I think his incinsistency has more to do with missing so many plays in games he's active, than it does his actual performance. He rarely "disappears" When he's on the field

Sure. Same could be said for Evans, Amari, any number of receivers. Who was more consistent last year, Crabtree? Rishard Matthews?

Who would you draft first?

Kinda lovin' Baldwin this year, btw.

Kind of my point ... consistency is a talking point that doesn't really exist.

Does this help? Std scoring

By the exact definition, no it doesn't exist, nor even AB is always "consistent", but you also can't tell me that you can look at any receiver similar to DJAX, compare them to many different receivers always ranked higher than them, and honestly say that the DJAX's are not LESS consistent than the others

Sure. Targets are a real thing. I would say the DJax's of the world are very 'boom or bust' ... which I guess is a weaker form of inconsistency. I just mean when it comes to the fifth overall pick, I don't think Julio applies. Double digit TD? No. Injury risk? Yes. His targets and talent are the only reasons people don't laugh at the concept of his ADP.

Yeah. I don't buy consistency anymore. It's a talking point that doesn't exist. Julio Jones had under six points in 5 of 14 games. Take away (or cut in half) his 300 yard, 3 TD game and you're left with a Doug Baldwin ranking.

So he gave an insta win + Doug Baldwin production the rest of the year. Sounds pretty sweet to me.

Sure djax is less consistent but I still don't get why that matters.

Crazy talk. I agree all the way with Milk's comments.

The only reason they would possibly be trying to trade for Shady would be that they were going for the gold this year.

They are not ready for that yet, and giving up long term potentials for a short term Shady would be a grave mistake, imo.

Crazy talk.

I expect to see the deal made official by tomorrow morning. :pound::pound::pound:

Several months back I made a thread implying the recent NFC South trend, second to first, and NFC South teams going to last two SBs. Yet the one thing I could not see happening was TB beating NE week 5 at home on TNF. With this trade, it might happen, but you cannot predict Winston or the bucs to win that kind of game. I asked how bucs could continue the trend of division winners to SBs, but I thought the schedule was too hard for them to start out. They are an absolute question mark as to what they can and cannot do.
