Is the Patriot's OL worse then the Bronco's, Giants, Saints, Panthers or Cardinals? Basically it sucks playing behind a shitty OL regardless if your a rookie or not.
True, but a veteran QB, in theory, should be able to mask a certain percentage of that through reading defenses, adjusting/shifting protections, audibling out of doomed plays, knowing that he's only got 2-3 seconds and getting the ball out, etc.. where the average rookie, typically, doesn't have the moxy, experience and/or knowledge base to instinctively do those things.

The bad thing is, they never will if you don't put them in, but, letting them watch, study, see that first hand prior to being tossed directly into the fire, supposedly, helps that adjustment

works for me. Hell Give Gibson 15 too
Isnt this the M.O. of a new head coach? Take the pressure off the QB, conservatively run the ball, then dump off to the TE.

The kid can cut and run. I mean really fast.

If he had gotten some experience passing in, what, the past two years, he might've had a chance.

Trey Lance completed 33-of-49 passes for 323 yards, one touchdown, and five interceptions in the Cowboys’ preseason Week 3 game against the Chargers, adding 90 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.

Lance started and got the entire game under center in what seemed to be a final audition for the primary backup role behind Dak Prescott. He flashed his upside, particularly on the ground, but also committed five costly turnovers, took three sacks, and committed two fumbles, both of which were recovered by Dallas. Based on his showing this preseason, it appears likely the Cowboys will begin the regular season with Cooper Rush as the primary backup and Lance as the emergency quarterback on game day, although the Trey Lance experience could be revisited later in the season or the coming offseason considering the current contract situation with Prescott.

Must be tough being in the limelight.
If those are your circumstances.
Sounds like a working man.
Does he live near the trees?

Juju back to the Cheifs? If he was ever going to be relevant again, that's the place.
78 for 900+ in 22.

Relevant in a loose definition

How seriously stupid is this??

Hendon Hooker, drafted in the 3rd round just one year ago, supposedly the heir apparent with an aging, somewhat above average QB in place. Hooker hasn't done anything to have Detriot sour on him. In fact what limited opportunities we've had to see him, he's somewhat promising.

To assume he wouldn't cost much, destroys the credibility of the article's author. I would guarantee Hooker would cost a bare minimum day 2 pick.

Not to mention, an inter- division trade, of a QB?? Get da fuq outta here.

Saw that Chubb opens the season on the PUP list. What do you guys think is the time to start kicking the tires on taking a flyer on him as a draft pick?

His ADP is eighth round. In a typical league (start QB/2 RB/2 WR/TE/Flex) I'd be tempted to take him in the 7th, depending how the draft played out. If your league has IR slots, even higher.

It's possible he doesn't play at all this year:

But they can work wonders these days and he's putting in the work. High risk/high reward pick.

If you're aiming for him and there's no IR, make sure your other RBs don't have early byes.

He will play. It is just a matter of what is workload will be when he does get back on the field and will he ever truly get back to a full workload this year.
