Would be funny if he went to CLE but I doubt he wants to be the backup when Chubb is healthyAdd Mixon to the pile of FA RBs looking for a home, the rumors were true, Cincy is cutting him
4+ mill a year, not shabby given his entire career thus far. Not enough to say, yes, they are planning on him being THE guy though. If the depth chart stays as is, I would expect a pretty fair split between him and Chase Brown. But that offense is going through Burrows and Chase regardless
As official as it can be until tomorrowAafon Jones to Minny is official
Jameis Winston as a bridge QB maybe.Denver brass gotta be scrambling now. All the buzz was about Darnold or Minshew. Only guy left that was being whispered is Brissett.
Is laugh my ass off if the trade for Feilds
Maybe, but they'd have to trade for him, and they have few assets worth trading. Not to mention more holes than they could possibly hope to fill with the picks/cap space they do have.Jameis Winston as a bridge QB maybe.
Nevermind, I misunderstood his contract situationMaybe, but they'd have to trade for him, and they have few assets worth trading. Not to mention more holes than they could possibly hope to fill with the picks/cap space they do have.
My assumption, based off rumblings I've heard, would be that if they traded, it'd would be for someone they assume to be legit answer, not a bridge.
Wonder what the cost would be for Winston? A 3rd? Less? More?
Flacco, WinstonJameis Winston as a bridge QB maybe.

I don't know why the Bears thought it would be smart to wait to move Fields like his value would go up before the draft-idiots.Morning local yocals out of Denver, after yesterdays' movement and the Darnold to Minn. news, project Fields trade value as a 5th round pick this morning. Just no market to keep the price high, when everyone knows the alternative is the Bears releasing him, or carrying his contract as the #2, and being a constant pain in the ass for Caleb Williams to think about- and he's soft already.
I think Winston makes a ton of sense. Like Darnell Mooney joining Matt Nagy on the Chiefs. Winston isn't super old so you can plausibly go into a season with him without screaming 'we need to draft a QB' because Denver isnt getting a top 3 QB in the draft.Well Flacco likely has a bad taste in his mouth from Denver.
And Winston? he had one of his best "half seasons" under Peyton in NO (7 games, 14 TD's, 3 picks,)..but would he want to go there again? Did he actually enjoy that time? Or would he be like, 'F that guy'? If he truly wants to start games, be anointed as the starter..its Denver or Vegas at this point. Everyone else either has their guy, their bridge guy, or will be drafting in the top 5-6 and taking the guy that'll most likely start week 1.
Just going through the list of potential free agents not already mentioned-
Bridgewater, been there done that
Drew Lock, been there drafted that.
Trevor Semian, same
man Denver has ran the gauntlet at QB...lol
Tannyhill, Wentz, Mariota??
yet another option chooses to be a backup for someone else over being the assumed starter in DenverMariota to Commanders
