Who is trading a 1st or 2nd for Higgins and giving him $20M/yr…a young team that has a young or rookie QB makes sense. With cap space the next few years

If I were a team that needed a #1, I'd take Higgins in a heartbeat. Chase is the only one in his way, it's not like a Diggs/Davis thing.

Carolina is interesting...look at Chuba's 2nd half stats last year and he was rising. Still only 24, I think he's one to watch.

That said, one of these projected playoff bound teams signing Henry to a short term deal?

I'm liking that idea more and more.

Yea no reason for the Panthers to go test the FA RB market again.. not unless they expect a massive step forward from Young. Chubba and Co do just fine long as you're not expected to win

Not noteworthy in my opinion, no.

Nice little 3-4 game stretch filling in for Taylor, and a couple moments here and there when Taylor came back.
I'm not a buyer unless it's as a complimentary piece.
But if I put Harris and Foreman in, probably should've put him in.. same teir for me

I would take him over Dillon all day but I understand if are talking starters.

If the NFL wants to regulate its salary cap better, maybe they should take a page out of the NHL where contracts cannot be readjusted or creatively move money from say, roster bonuses to signing bonuses. The NFL throws money around because there are very little consequences for misspending. Provide consequences and teams may spend more wisely.

That’s what makes it fun. What FO’s can do it and which ones still don’t know what the hell they are doing. More strategy, right? Lol

Having locked NHL-type contracts would also put an end to these "trade me now" tantrums players make too. No team will trade knowing they are on the hook for a ridiculously cap-crippling contract that cant be adjusted.

That's where ownership matters. If you aren't the Waltons, or Kronke, or Jerra, and can't just fork over millions upon millions in liquid cash, you do have consequences. Part of the reason why the Raiders can never manipulate the cap like the Cowboys can. Mark Davis's net worth is shy of 2B, most of which is the valuation of his ownership stake in the team. He can't just write a 38 million dollar check like the Waltons just did in the Russel Wilson release.

I never knew John Boy was such an evil bastard.
