I like the signings so far. I would not be angry if we gave Byrd a 7-8.5 mil contract as we need a beast safety to pair with hopefully one of our "blooming" )ugh) sophomores.

If we can get byrd for 7-8.5M, I'd be ecstatic. He's going to get considerably more.

bethea got 4 yrs 26 mil and is a year older. I think he can be had for under 9 mil a year. At least I really hope so

Byrd is considered much better than Bethea, although I'm surprised by Bethea's numbers. Maybe we can get him for under $9M., but I wouldn't bet on it.

I'm somewhat cautious on Mitchell. He had a good year last year, but that was his first good year. He also played on one of the best defenses. So was his production a part of playing with really good players or has he started to come into his own? Because here, he will not have that type of support.
