I just read that. According to John Keim, the Skins are interested in both Linval Joseph and Arthur Jones.

That would address the DLine for years to come. I also keep hearing Hakeem Nicks and Joe Mays.

We might actually sign 6 or 7 starters in the next few days. Hopefully these are smart contracts for hungry players. I would like to see us beef up both lines and then get a few skill players. Nicks can be had for cheap and I think we get Malcolm Jenkins at Safety who would also be inexpensive. We need to make some more cuts to get more cap room.

Mike Mitchell = S
Malcolm Jenkins = S
Joe Mays = ILB
Andre Roberts = WR
Hakeem Nicks = WR
Linval Joseph = DL
Arthur Jones = DL

Looks like we are going after DL, Secondary and WR for sure.

Oh believe me, Im tight with the wallet when it comes to outsiders. My boss gives me hell all the time because I would rather spend the budget on training for the guys I already KNOW can work on my team rather than keep requesting more open positions to bring in every more expensive new guys.

Our big difference is the value of Riley. I see Riley as just a guy and you don't pay that type of player biggish money. I see almost every player you draft in the first four rounds to be his equal.

If we had ANY starting quality ILBs under contract I might agree with you. But I dont think you cut off your nose to spite your face. While you might be right and he never amounts to more than simply solid. right now i think it hurts the team less to simply pay Riley and not create the hole. Two new starting ILBs in a 3-4 defense hardly ever works out. And lets face it, if the defense fails again we likely waste two seasons because if the defense isnt atleast decent this year, Haslett gets fired, we start all over and then no telling what we will get going forward.

I'm not overly impressed with the FA WR class. I wouldn't pay big money to any of them, especially not Nicks. He has danger signs written all over him. I would rather us use FA to shore up a couple of positions in the defense and maybe an interior OL. Use the draft to pick up a WR.

Mitchell would be huge. Mitchell, Thomas, Gumbs, and Rambo. Possibly bring back Dougherty. Colllins would solve the RT problem.
