The Rams are over only because they haven't restructured contracts for any of their big money players yet - but they soon will. The Rams might have the least cap money brought forward of any NFL team right now. There is only $16M on Donald's contract. Ramsey, Kupp, Woods, and Stafford have next to nothing.

Floyd will cost $16.5M+ per season. Many Rams fans expect the Chargers to outbid the Rams.
That makes more sense. I misread you post at first and thought you meant $16M total or $5M+ per year

I'm happy with the deal. We got a very good player at a fair market price. The Cowboys have gotten an excellent long-snapper. The Browns have added a good S but they've paid top whack. (Thanks for the future comp pick guys). The 49ers massively overpaying for Ebukam is gravy.

$11M/year was under what he was projected to get actually. Johnson is a top safety and still only 26. Bargain deal.

He was offered significantly more money and chose CLE over other teams.

Getting a feeling the Browns are going to get a veteran DE like Dunlap at a lower price, maybe 1 year Clowney prove-it deal.

Glad they didn’t overpay for a DE...after we thought the market would be down, it certainly hasn’t been just that.

Vikings:

Will play that wait and sign a cheap option for starters at both OG and FS.

Guesses on who those are:
OG: Easton.
FS: Tre Boston.

Will lose:
FS Anthony Harris (too much $'s)
LT Reiff - gone
Eric Wilson OLB - gone.

Free agency doesn’t officially start until next Friday so I want to change my answer....

The Vikes are going to spend what little free agent money they have left on a nose tackle and then also get the NT they signed last offseason back in Michael Pierce. They will then get zero pressure up the middle in pass rush and finally prove once and for all that pass rushing DT‘s like Aaron Donald are overrated and really only good on 3rd and long.

His projected range was $8.3M, (on the low side at Spotrac), to about $11M. Many Rams fans thought he was worth $11M and he was definitely a fan favourite. Many fans were prepared to pay him $11M but only pay Floyd $13M. I quoted the figure I thought he was worth. I'm not criticising the Browns. They paid the top end figure, (top whack), which I wouldn't have. It's not an overpay per se, but he's not a bargain, (nor is Floyd). For the Rams it may mean a 4th round comp pick rather than a 5th so i'm good with it. I wish Johnson and the Browns well.

Johnson is a very good, high stamina S who reads the game correctly, is physically good, and misses very few tackles. I just don't see him as a top 10 or difference making player at, what for me is a lower value position.

Belichick better off to have his dog pick WR's
It’s just so sad. Remember when Donald Hayes was going to be the savior? Other than Deion Branch, I’m not sure he drafted another useful WR in 20 years. He did have some luck signing the likes of Walker and Amendola, however. But those are very rare hits for him.

OBJ won't lose a fight to a kicking net in 2021.

I did watch him play, he is all over the field kind of guy. Doesn’t have too many weaknesses. The problem is the Rams do not have the same scheme as the Browns and Joe Woods. Woods uses two LB’s and 3 safeties most of the time. Safeties are extremely valuable in his scheme...this is also a team thag desperately needed a safety and playmaker on the back end of the defense. This is also a team that this year is only paying one guy big money on defense. Richardson $13M and he could be restructured bc he isn’t worth that much.

Kind of hard to compare how valuable a player and their salary when the teams have different schemes.
Point is, I think he has a lot more valuable in Joe Woods’ scheme
