Browns

WR - I think they resign Higgins and go after another cheap option for slot WR.

DE - I’m thinking Ngakoue or Carl Lawson. Predicting Lawson here plus a cheap edge guy to replace Clayborn

slot CB - Poole or Hilton. I think they get Brian Poole.

LB - Jayon Brown and/or bring back BJ Goodson

I also think they might make some sort of trade...no predicti

Patriots - (Cap Space: $72M)

WR - Need a couple. Will Fuller and Curtis Samuel

They could work a deal with the Browns for OBJ and send them Stephon Gilmore

Edge - Yannick Ngakuoe is on their radar. Melvin Ingram is most likely.

LB - Carl Van Noy might be looking to return. Reggie Ragland could be.

TF - Pats will go hard after Hunter Henry.

CB - Bill will want the secondary solid. Justin Coleman or Mike Davis or both.

QB - Wouldn't be surprised to see Ryan Fitzpatrick playing for his fourth AFCE team.

KC Football Team:

1) After extensions/restrucures, they'll sign a mid-tier OT would be my guess to make it less of a mission impossible situation in the draft. If they believe in Niang at one OT spot and sign another OT, it becomes a lot easier to address the OL.

I was going to add...restructuring every contract, so they can become cap compliant.

Already $6m under the cap after Ben, Heyward & D Watt restructured... Also taking into account Vance & Pouncey retiring.

After restructuring contracts, I'm guess they also bring back Remmers on the cheap to compete with Niang at RT.

They'll probably fish for a vet WR and CB looking for a ring. Alshon Jeffrey maybe. Patrick Peterson? Richard Sherman?

I do think they're still probably going to target OL and DE in the draft. They have a huge incentive to find someone who can make Frank Clark replaceable.

Isn't that space needed for the Tenders?

Rookie contracts would eat up all of that pretty much... If they are going to be making FA deals today then more restructures are needed (Haden/Nelson).

Thanks wasn't sure.

I was looking at Overthecap.com and it is stating they have a little over $5 million to work with and Spillane wasn't on the list of contracts.

Makes sense its at $5m now that Spillane just got tendered. It was at $6m the other day. Weird that it doesn't show him on there yet?

Haden I heard is a likely cut candidate. 32 in the final year of his deal. You would have to fake structure it like Ben's and just take a dead cap hit next year for a player you know isn't likely to be on your roster.

There is still a pretty big danger of doing that right now. It seems unlikely but there is still a chance that there won't fans allowed in games (we still could go the other direction with COVID yet). There is a big enough chance at this point that I would think teams would have to know not to overdue it TOO much with the pushing the money forward.

Rams re-sign:
Leonard Floyd $15.7M + bonuses @ 3 years
Austin Blythe $4.8M @ 1 year
Jake McQuaide $1.4M @ 2 years
Morgan Fox @ vet min
Johnny Mundt @ vet min
Darious Williams 1st round RFA tag

Rams lose:
John Johnson $8.9M @ 4 years
Troy Hill $7.5M @ 3 years
Gerald Everett $5.9M @ 2 years
Josh Reynolds $3.5M @ 3 years
Samson Ebukam $1.8M @ 2 years
Derek Rivers @ vet min
Blake Bortles @ unsigned
Malcolm Brown @ unsigned

Rams will be quiet in free agency. If they lose Floyd they may look to add at Edge & WR.

Yeah I hope that is just a "type-o". Because if Spillane puts them down to 4.2 million they will need to restructure someone else.

Haden at 32 coming off one of his best season to date... Yea its scary to extend him, but I see no reason not to if they want to sign anyone in FA.

I don't see how they could possibly cut him after how well he has been performing. Nelson is the questionable guy with a top 5 cap hit on the team right now that hasn't been nearly as consistent as Joe.

Plus they may be looking at losing both Hilton & Sutton. There's no way they can decimate their secondary by cutting Joe on top of that.

???

He signed a 1 year $10m contract last season after be a bit of a disappointment previously. Comes back and has the best year of his career. And now he is going to sign for half of what he was paid last year.

.....or do you mean $15m annually?

Because then it seems high.
