As usual a couple of cheap one or two year deal players that will immediately be heralded as huge upgrades for the Cowboys defense by the delusional Cowboy brain trust and fans, but when all is said will be looked back upon as more style than substance...

Some day this team and its fans will realize re-signing the same old marginal players does nothing but guarantee a marginal future and they will finally start to cut the dead wood and/or let their own FAs walk and sign better players from other teams...

Rams re-sign:
Leonard Floyd $15.7M + bonuses @ 3 years
Austin Blythe $4.8M @ 1 year
Jake McQuaide $1.4M @ 2 years
Morgan Fox @ vet min
Johnny Mundt @ vet min
Darious Williams 1st round RFA tag

Rams lose:
John Johnson $8.9M @ 4 years
Troy Hill $7.5M @ 3 years
Gerald Everett $5.9M @ 2 years
Josh Reynolds $3.5M @ 3 years
Samson Ebukam $1.8M @ 2 years
Derek Rivers @ vet min
Blake Bortles @ unsigned
Malcolm Brown @ unsigned

Rams will be quiet in free agency. If they lose Floyd they may look to add at Edge & WR.
Considering the Rams are over $30M over the cap this year, you would do well to bring back Floyd (but not for the amount you listed) and Blythe

edit - are you saying $16M per year plus bonuses or total over 3 years for Floyd?

The Rams are over only because they haven't restructured contracts for any of their big money players yet - but they soon will. The Rams might have the least cap money brought forward of any NFL team right now. There is only $16M on Donald's contract. Ramsey, Kupp, Woods, and Stafford have next to nothing.

Floyd will cost $16.5M+ per season. Many Rams fans expect the Chargers to outbid the Rams.

???

He signed a 1 year $10m contract last season after be a bit of a disappointment previously. Comes back and has the best year of his career. And now he is going to sign for half of what he was paid last year.

.....or do you mean $15m annually?

Because then it seems high.
Floyd earned $13.25M last year including bonuses. I would argue he was the Rams 2nd or 3rd best player last year, depending on people's opinions of Ramsey. Personally I thought Floyd was better.

Ramsey is at $20M in dead money.

Something positive from a Giants fans in regards to the Patriots. Hell has frozen over.

I think Smith was slightly overpay, especially considering the guaranteed money but it probably needed that in order to sign him

Think he hasn’t maximized his potential
Guy is super athletic and a potential nightmare matchup if used correctly, which is more likely in New England than most places

Seahawks:
No on till June then they will give starter money to backups
I see in three weeks they'll sign some bottom bargain basement injury riddled o-line guy.

I am sure they will try and use him in New England much better but still Cam can't really get him the ball

If you look at that Cam contract, it’s far from a guarantee he is the starting QB, there will definitely be either a veteran guy to compete, Fitz/Jimmy, or they use a high pick on a QB, and he sits behind Cam for 8 games

I’ll admit I’ve never heard of this TE before. But I know you follow this stuff much closer than I do and I’m encouraged that you think it’s a good move.
