Somebody call Derien Hatcher and find out what he's doing - Might as well call Jere Lehtinen while you're at it.

LOL they could round out their top 9 with Russ Courtnall and Ulf Dahlen? I don't think they would mind coming back to Dallas....

And Kevin might want to join his brother on the blue line...

1.2 million dollar raise for Jags. Man is following the money all the way to Big D. Parise may try to tell ya it's not about the money. With Jaromir, the question isn't even worth asking :L

OK, sure, Whitney and Jagr are two good veteran wingers, but where's the veteran center to play with GOOD GOD THAT'S JOE NIEUWENDYK'S MUSIC!

Has Parise or Suter signed yet?

Did the Caps sign anyone?

Who is Jack Hillen?

Hillen was with Nashville last season. He's a solid bottom 6 guy. A bit undersized, but a good skater. The Isles signed him as a college UFA a few years ago. It's a one year depth D signing. Not bad at all because Hillen can actually play. Trotz trusted him during the playoffs for the Preds this past season.

@DarrenDreger: Taylor Pyatt also agrees to 2 year deal with the NYR.

@DarrenDreger: 2 years...annual average salary of $1.55 for Pyatt with NYR.

Doan needs to find a new team and the dismantling of the Coyotes is almost complete....Muwahahahahaha

in his defense, (god this feels weird), he did say in an interview that he felt it wasn't about the money in his pocket, but what the money entitled him to on the ice.. he felt that taking a pay cut would result in a decreased role on the ice.. getting a raise and the organization would feel that they 'had' to give him big minutes

which i guess still isn't a very 'team first' view, but i guess maybe it's better than it being all about the money? dude wants to play, cant really fault him for that

of course, that could all be a load of shit and it was 100% about the money.. but at least he got creative and original in his defense of himself

He's been the same his whole career. Not really a bad thing. Earn as much as you can, while you can. I can't blame him. I just don't buy what he sells to the press for his reasons of why he chooses to go where, when the dollar amount usually answers the question.
