Always like that song.
I may be senile but I'm not that bad yet.Of course it was determined over an hour ago. I just thought I'd remind you.
Not retired but close enough to dream, far enough to cry.I knew you were old but not that old...
when it come to the rights of an Employee. Your statement is not correct.Even if it was not bargained, Zeke agreed to it the second he signed his contract.
Agreed.
In the next CBA they need to push for a tiered program for fines/suspensions. They'll probably never get the power back from Goodell but they can limit his ability by forcing owners into a tiered system that takes the decisions out of his hands in terms of amounts and length of suspensions.
The players need to demand more proof too. No more of this "Well I "Think" you did something".
They need more than that. They need to remove the NFL's power to suspend based on just "we don't like what you did". hendersons ruling said as much, that yeah even if Goodell completely ignored all facts of the case he still has the power to suspend anyone for anything.
The backlash for the Giants favoritism is going to be awesome to watch. Probably will take another commissioner coming into the game, but when it happens it's gonna be delectable.
68 suspensions under Goodell
Roughly 6 per season
Over 2000 players in the league
Trust me, 95% of the players in the league have more important things to fight for than Goodells power
Yeah, other things may be higher on the list, but it's about what you can realistically get the other side to agree upon.Money, guaranteed money, healthcare, stopping marijuana testing, and other retirement benefits are going to trump fines and suspensions for the vast majority of NFLPA members. I don't really think trying to limit Goodells power should be all that high on the priority list when it comes to the new CBA.
