If I were Zeke, I would start my suspension this week and get it over with. Then sue the ever living shit out of the women who started this whole thing. Bring her in the public eye and admit she lied. Imagine how that will go over in the NFL front office....we suspended a guy for DV, but he didn't do it....

Enjoy football now cause when the CBA is over, there might not be football for awhile, no way players put up with this shit.....so Who's team is next to get fucked over.....

Even if it was not bargained, Zeke agreed to it the second he signed his contract.
when it come to the rights of an Employee. Your statement is not correct.
An Employee is not allowed to sign away their rights.
Example. As an employee you cannot agree to not be paid overtime.

So once they go the Labor law angle. NFL rules dont matter in court.

Also to those that remind us. You can be fired without reason. While in right to hire states, this is absolutely true. As soon as they give a reason it is subject to scrutiny. Where a lawsuit could come forward.
Example. I fired you because your (insert race here)
Even though you could be fired for no reason given legally, you cannot be fired for discrimination (or many other things)

Agreed.

In the next CBA they need to push for a tiered program for fines/suspensions. They'll probably never get the power back from Goodell but they can limit his ability by forcing owners into a tiered system that takes the decisions out of his hands in terms of amounts and length of suspensions.

Money, guaranteed money, healthcare, stopping marijuana testing, and other retirement benefits are going to trump fines and suspensions for the vast majority of NFLPA members. I don't really think trying to limit Goodells power should be all that high on the priority list when it comes to the new CBA.

The players need to demand more proof too. No more of this "Well I "Think" you did something".

They need more than that. They need to remove the NFL's power to suspend based on just "we don't like what you did". hendersons ruling said as much, that yeah even if Goodell completely ignored all facts of the case he still has the power to suspend anyone for anything.

The backlash for the Giants favoritism is going to be awesome to watch. Probably will take another commissioner coming into the game, but when it happens it's gonna be delectable.

68 suspensions under Goodell

Roughly 6 per season

Over 2000 players in the league

Trust me, 95% of the players in the league have more important things to fight for than Goodells power

Not when you consider that he could get any one of them regardless of guilt or innocence. Brady and Zeke should both serve as wake up calls that when Roger wants his pound of flesh he will get it no matter what science or the medical field tell him.

Gonna be great when Dallas hangs half a hundred on the Giants this weekend, and are still scoring when up big with under a minute.

Yeah, other things may be higher on the list, but it's about what you can realistically get the other side to agree upon.

Some of those things the other side is not going to agree on.

As for a tiered structure, I would think that teams/owners would be on board because it takes the limbo out of any suspension/fine process. They know going into the process that a DV suspension for a first time offense is going to be a 5 game suspension and that's that (or whatever amount of games they can agree upon). Not only does it take away Goodells whims (2 games here but 6 games there), but it also allows the team to plan ahead effectively.

I do get what you are saying, and I don't disagree. I just think this point is higher on the list than you may think just based on recent events with high profile players as well as the likelyhood of other things being asked for not getting granted.
