NFL arbitrator Harold Henderson has upheld Ezekiel Elliott's six-game suspension.

However, Elliott is still expected to play Sunday night against the Giants. Since the suspension appeal process wasn't finalized before 4 PM ET on Tuesday, the six-game ban is expected to be delayed until next week. The NFL allegedly admitted as much in court on Tuesday. This thing is far from over, and an intense legal battle between the NFL and NFLPA is just beginning. But it sounds like we could get a week of Elliott followed by seven weeks of him off the field.

So that means he will not play against the Redskins

Where are all the Mara/Giants conspiracy theorists now? Adding an extra layer of foil to their craniums?

A conspiracy guy might say the NFL benefits greatly from Zeke being able to play week 1 primetime as opposed to week 8 day game

So that means he will not play against the Redskins

For those of us that have no clue what the injunction means... Does he still have a chance to get the suspension reduced?

Suspended RB Ezekiel Elliott will play Week 1 against the Giants.

NFL arbitrator Harold Henderson upheld Elliott's six-game ban after Elliott's appeal process came to a close on Tuesday evening. Since the appeal wasn't settled before 4 PM ET on Tuesday, Elliott is eligible to play Sunday night. A ruling on his temporary restraining order is expected by Friday evening. That's the next critical step in this process. Week 2 is completely up in the air.

Elliott is awaiting ruling from Texas court on his temporary restraining order, which is expected Friday. If it's granted, Elliott could be available all year. If not, he'd likely serve his six-game ban. There's a number of ways this could still go.

OK now it's time for the courts to kick the NFL in it's balls.

I might be totally wrong, but I just don't see it happening.

Ultimately, as I've said before, Goodell has all the power to decide what is "good" or "bad" for the league and how to handle punishment. I just don't see a judge stepping in to change that. NFLPA gave Goodell that power, and for better or worse, he's going to use it.
