What is it with all the road upset wins in the conference this year?

I seriously almost think it would be better for us if the duck game was at Autzen this year. No one can win at home ffs. Just crazy.

The room is spinning.........Arrgh.

With that said, the PAC is crazy this year. My gambling budget is afraid of the PAC. Too unpredictable.

I was happy for them. Came at my team's expense but those kids and their fans were on cloud 9.

Good times had by all at Autzen. Very good game. Dissapointing for our fans. But expectations are reduced to winning 4 games this season. Sooooooo...... Can't be to down.

Well said Mambo, at some point you just have to grin and bare it. No reason to lose sleep. just hope your program can fix their problem and move forward

I can tell you I enjoyed the rise of Oregon more than trying to stay at the top of the PAC.

Looking forward to the rise again.

I'll tell you, I was shocked when one of the touted young guns wasn't trotted out to take thier lumps this season, kind of like what Browning is doing with Washington this year. To think that the coaching staff felt the need to bring in Vernon Adams says it all and we have seen why with the product that Lockie and Alie leave on the field. The the biggest question mark resides in the young former 4*'s Mahalak and Jonson and why they haven't even sniffed the field this season. With Jonson now out for the year, there would have to be a point where Mahalak would be trotted out in the name of the future. Wouldn't you think?

Maybe just maybe there was a plan to save the younger guys for next season? I mean sometimes programs will hold back two or three younger guys for down the road, I honestly thought they knew what they were getting into with Adams being brought in, granted his injury wasn't planned, I don't know just speculation....

I hear that, but I don't think the crew we have on board and get the job done. My first pick when Kiff got the boot was Patterson from TCU, I would still love to see him come to SC

Could be. I think that will all depend on the QB position and a young guy stepping up. I think a silver lining may be in recruiting in that some of these top recruits may think they can come in and get some playing time right away. The Trojans are an example of that right now. I think with some better coaching, that team is undefeated right now. The young core of players there is scary good!

I think a lot it does fall on coaching ( not targeting SC here) but younger coaches have tendency to be more of a friend then a hard ass coach to a player, two prime examples from my Dawgs with Petersen, Dave you mentioned Browning, hell half the Dawg fans on here were complaining about the same crap game call on offense at the beginning of the season, well to be honest I think it was Petersen saying were not going to let this young player to go out and get picked off 'd 70% of the time, that weighs big on an 18yr olds head, that and the other night at SC the LB that got tossed after being tossed for the "crap targeting call" camera was right on Petersen when the kid came to the sideline and tried to plead his case to him, the look alone Petersen gave the kid was pretty much an older coach saying, " get the hell out of here before I rip your head off."......

Shows how hard it is to find those Mariota's. Sark went out and got some highly touted QB's and those he left behind turned out to be garbage at the college level. I don't know if Kelly just had a better eye, or the law of averages of awesome HS QB's not translating caught up, but you are right. They should just take their lumps and get those other kids out there. Mahalak already had his red shirt year didn't he? And the two QB's that have been so sub par were both brought in by Kelly before he left? Or just one of them?

Actually it was Helfrich that found Mariota. he just got signed while Kelly was coach.

And both were involved in your currently struggling group.

Not all QB's pan out. Goes for every position, but we have all seen 4 and even 5 star busts at QB that just couldn't make the jump to the college level.

Props to the Duck fans. I would have thought that they would have disappeared into a hole, but they are still here. It's tough to keep posting after that Utah meltdown, and now this.

What is it with all the road upset wins in the conference this year?

Wasnt it the same last season? I remember at least a 3 week stretch where road teams in the pac killed it.
