Again, the bolded part means absolutely nothing. Last year's record is insignificant. You don't get rewarded for wins in a prior year because you were on probation.

I understand that. I am not a fucking retard.

However, when you hold the Nations longest winning streak and have not lost in two years, and you are now ranked #2 in the Nation, no other team should be allowed to "jump" you in the standings unless you actually lose.

I don't care if they only beat MSU 20-19, and Auburn wins by 100. There is no reason an undefeated team, and one that has been undefeated for 2 straight years, shouldn't get a chance at a fucking title game.

Ohio State has not lost a game in 2 years, and has no NC Game appearance yet, they deserve a shot this year at least.

They also did not get to play for a NC last year because they were in trouble, and that was the penalty.

Anything accomplished in 2012 does not carry over into 2013. It's an impressive streak, there's no doubt, but it should play 0% in factoring in if they are deserving this year of a NC game.

At this point, baring a completely inept showing against Mich St, and Auburn absolutly rolling Mizz, OSU will get to play FSU in the BCS championship.

Strenght of schedule has to be factored in. Has to.

UC can't go 10-0 in the AAC and claim to deserve a shot in the NC game.

So, there is plenty of reasoning to not having an undefeated team in the NC game.

Crash claims he knows this, and "isn't fucking retarded" but it won't stop him from using it as part of his argument.

So, there is plenty of reasoning to not having an undefeated team in the NC game.

They play in a major college division. They have won 20+ damn games in a row, ain't no damn strength of schedule needed. They are concerned about putting the right two teams in the NC game, then they need to build a fucking playoff bracket for the top 8 ranked teams. Until they do that, major college division, 20+ wins in a row, deserves a NC title game.

I know they were penalized last year, and that is why they do not get a title game last year. Not even sure they would have been given a chance last year as for some reason, people want to disregard the Big 10 as a pussy division, and that it is not a major college division, only the SEC and ACC are real college divisions, and therefore, if you are not in one of those divisions, you do not deserve a shot. Well, F that.

Most of Ohio States schedule is predetermined. They don't always get the toughest competition for soem of their non-conference games, but neither do the teams from the SEC or ACC either. They put cream puffs on their schedule as well.

Until they have a playoff system, there will never be a fair way to handle the championship game seedings.

So in the meantime, a team like Ohio State deserves that NC Title as much if not more than most, because they have not lost in two years, and are still undefeated this year as well, a season they are actually eligible for the NCG. Fuck the ACC and SEC, they ain't all that.

Okay. Let's do it your way...

Two undefeated teams in college football this year, FSU and Ohio State. There is absolutely nothing else to discuss. Two teams only in college football are undefeated, that is your NCG as long as they win the following week, each of them. They are also both from major universities and conferences.

Argue anything to the contrary, you are the "retarded" one.

I have no dog in this fight...I'm not an SEC guy or an ACC guy. I think the Buckeyes clearly have a great team. I am also NOT saying that they won't or shouldn't go to the NC game. I'm saying, that you can make a complete and legitimate argument for Auburn jumping them. You can make a really good case for OSU being ranked ahead of FSU, but because FSU is #1 in the BCS, outside of a loss, there 's 0% chance of OSU or Auburn jumping FSU in the BCS polls, so for this discussion, FSU is not important.

OSU plays in the 5th rated conference in NCAA. It does matter who they play. If it didn't matter, then conferences wouldn't matter who was in or out, and you could set your schedule every year to try and go 12-0 or whatever.

Schedules can be hard to make, there's no argument there. However, the Big 10 has not been good for quite some time. OSU has had more than enough time to get a solid opponent. Now, if they were to schedule, let's say, USC, or Florida, etc and then finally play them some 2 years down the road and USC, Florida, etc sucks...there's nothing you can do about that, but at least they scheduled them. Who was OSU's toughest non-conference game? Buffalo? So, while I agree that the schedule is set before each season (usually 2 years or so, or in some home/home cases several years) you still have to know where your conference is when making your schedule.

And you keep saying 20 games in a row..all that matters is the games they've won this year. They don't get a bonus "vote" because they won all their games in 2012. So, you can keep talking about that, but it doesn't make it any more important to this discussion.

Simmer down, too...a bunch of F-bombs doesn't help you make your point. :suds:

Except when you consider Auburn has played (or will play) 6 ranked teams. OSU will play 3.

Auburns SOS will end up in the early 20's, or teens after playing Mizz...OSU will be in the upper 50's.

I can excuse a loss when you play that many ranked teams, and your loss is on the road where only 1 team in the last 32 games has won.

Yes, you can make an argument without sounding "retarded".

Two undefeated teams. There you go. End of discussion, really.

If Buffalo was undefeated, and you had Cincinnati as an undefeated team also, and you had 4 teams who are undefeated, then you can go by strength of schedule to determine the NCG.

So until they create a playoff system, this is as good as it gets. 2 undefeated teams? NCG. There ya go.

I agree. I think it should 8 teams exactly.

Someone who is #9 will be pissed, but it usually never comes down to #8 and #9, it is usually, the top 4 teams who deserve to go, but one or two get shafted and only two teams get to go.

So 8 teams are perfect for now.

4 games > 2 games > 1 game Championship

I'm just not sure how the student athletes will have time for final exams. That's a lot of football and their education is why they are in school. :laugh3:

just take all the qualifying teams names and put them in a hat. have naked cheerleaders pull the names out of the hat using their teeth, then have the naked cheerleaders liquor up and fight, one representing each school, until one cheerleader from each school cries "uncle" or "i quit" or becomes clearly unconscious. The schools of the surviving 2 cheerleaders get to play the championship game, the others get to play some other bowl game. naked cheerleader death match is the way to go and eliminates a lot of pointless debate.
