Excited to see Dennis Kelly

When the Eagles Drafted Kelly I was pretty stoked, as I saw him play at Purdue, and thought he was awesome there. Unfortunately, he had that back injury and it stunted his NFL growth there for a bit. He is gonna get his shot at LG this week, and I am looking forward to see if he will eventually be Todd Heremans replacement. I still wouldn't rule out Tackle for him, as he has real quick feet, Great size and is in awesome physical shape.

Could be his chance to take over the LG spot going forward. Doubt the Eagles want to pay Mathis what he wants. Shouldn't be a issue if Foles gets out of his own head. Seems like he's a little gun shy now after the pre season. Can't sit in the pocket until someone comes open by 20 yards.

Kelly played a lot two years ago and was up and down at best. I think he is likely a better guard than tackle at the pro level for sure because he seems kind of slow, but he may be OK at LG.

My guess is that by next week, Wade Smith will play there, or this other young lineman, Matt Tobin. Tobin got hurt in the last preseason game against the Jets but he had looked good before then.

There is no doubt that Mathis is not going to get extended, but his contract is not up yet right? I think he is signed through 2016.

I guess the better question is would they cut him to save money, if someone a decade younger turns into a good LG. I could see that, but I could also see them keeping him.

He douched it up with the FO a little last offseason so I don't know if he pissed anyone important off or not but that could play a role.

What's he have coming to him? I looked this morning and it was 6 million plus a another million for his signing bonus. Not sure how accurate that site was.

The coaches seem to like Wade Smith and the way he has come in. He is a veteran zone blocking guy. My prediction is Wade Smith at LG in a week. Maybe even tomorrow night.

I guess, I just really liked this guy when Andy Reid drafted him....I think he has a chance to be real good.

I don't think he's anything special, but he's solid - I'm not worried about him, a little more concerned about Gardner on the right side, although he did do better when moved to tackle last week.

Hopefully they make the right adjustments and get settled to give Shady some lanes and get Foles some time to make some downfield throws.
