Everyone Must Read the Thread in the Site Announcements

Everyone read the thread under the "Site announcements" that Hammer has put up about changes with the SportsHoopla. The SportsHoopla has lost its Google sponsorship because of someone posting a naked woman as an avatar and they left. Read up to get what is going on!

This is sad news. I have know real knowledge of how these sites work. But the liability factor must be unreal. Such a shame one or two can bring the whole house down. I have my fingers crossed and am willing too support Hammer and the site in a donation or fee type thing if they choose that route. The 22nd seems too be the target date. Should things go to hell in a hand basket I would just like to add I have enjoyed interacting will all Rams fans here and consider ALL to be friends almost family. This is and has been a great place for people of like mind to discuss the Rams and other things. Hopefully all will work out for the best. If not I salute you all.

I agree Ozark, as I posted on the main thread, I don't have a clue how to fix it total but the individual thing is open to me. retro and hammer, please keep us up on how it is going. To Rams fans on this site, bless you boys and to everyone else, we all need to stay together and work to stay informed. Don't let us depart forever.

Some of us have been thru this before. The time frame is scary. I had been with the yahoo boards for 10 years plus. One day they said in 30 days we will close the boards down. In three days all was gone. It is my hope that wont happen here. This is a bad time for this or slow time on the board maybe better wording not all the fans are here right now.

Update! It looks as though we will NOT be losing the SportsHoopla on July 22nd no matter what happens with Google. We apparently did pick-up conditional advertising with Amazon. It's conditional because in order for the SportsHoopla to get paid, we have to buy something from Amazon. Next time you purchase from Amazon, use one of the banners advertised here. I have an account with Amazon so I'll be clicking on the banner here. Stay tuned!
