ESPN Shutting Down Team Forums

I can't say that I'm surprised about this. They let the troll problem get totally out of control over there, which caused a mass exodus, which, in turn, left very few people using the boards for their actual purpose and too many people using the boards to make themselves feel important. I remember the reason I originally went to the team board was that the NFL General board was spam, troll and off-topic heavy. To have the team board become like that was disappointing. Their moderating was all over the map as well. What good is having a "flag" button if the mods are going to pick and choose when to follow-up and when to ignore it when it comes to trolling?

Welcome, Donyell hope you like this board...I think you'll love it once you check out "all" the boards. Some interesting boards.

Also this board provides some bells and whistles that ESPN didn't. We'll go into that later.

Thanks bro, hopefully most of the good posters will make it over here and he who shall not be blamed won't be starting a half dozen troll threads in the Seahawks forum every day.

Posted under this name and UW_Tamland for awhile. I didn't post a whole lot on the Seahawks board, but was fairly active over on the M's board for a lot of years. Things have picked up on the Seahawks board, especially dealing with Supers, Juice, and Lil Joey over the last couple weeks.

Oh yeah I recall your posts, glad you are here too. I am not going to miss those clowns being allowed to run a muck, I'm all for other teams fans posting and for people having a different opinion than the main crowd but just trolling all day everyday makes the experience worse for everyone.

I don't go to other team's boards and spew garbage, but I'll bash a troll on the Hawk board every time.

I too have migrated from ESPN. I did not post much on that board until recently b/c I was sick of seeing the Princess and SBLOL spew their ridiculous ad hominem drivel on every thread. So, I figured I would respond to them in kind. Up too that point, I mostly just lurked and read everybody else s posts.

Thanks, I honestly prefer a little more civilized discussion about the Seahawk's obviously and our rivals. Nothing wrong with a difference in opinion on how the teams will do this year. I can handle a difference in opinion but those clowns were just ridiculous.
