Bullshit. 2010 TCU opened the season against a ranked Oklahoma State team and also played another Big 12 team(Baylor) out of conference. Then ran the table in the Mountain West including a #6 Utah team who also had a ranked win to start the year. The 2010 MWC was better than the 2017 AAC. They played and beat #4 1-loss Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. TCU had played 2 P5 teams(one ranked) and 2 ranked during the season G5 teams, including #6, before UCF had played their first ranked opponent...on Thanksgiving weekend. TCU also finished 2009 as the #3 team, after going 11-2 and a #11 ranking in 2008, then returned the nucleus of their team resulting in a pre-season #6 ranking in 2010. Meanwhile, UCF played Maryland who lost to #5 Ohio St 62-14 and #8 Penn St 66-3, FIU and Austin Peay OOC, They finally played their first ranked opponent on Thanksgiving weekend beating #22 USF in a shootout, then need 2OT to beat #16 Memphis in another shootout in the CCG...then beat#7, 3-loss Auburn in a bowl game. The real question should be how the hell did UCF get to #14 without playing a ranked opponent. Unlike 2009 TCU UCF finished 2016 6-7 and unranked, after going 0-12 in 2015. I would argue that 2008 Utah,2009 Boise, 2009 TCU and 2010 TCU all had better teams than 2017 UCF. They all had significantly better recruiting classes leading up to their best season, they played significantly better opponents and they all had good season track records leading up to their best season, not an 0-12 and 6-7 foundation of shit.
